Survived Hurricane Harvey
I say 'survived' cause my apartment building is twelve feet from the water. The night is hit it pasted over us and went straight for Houston, but that whole night was completely terrifying. I heard roofing tiles being torn off and glass windows exploding. I'm so glad no nobody in the complex got hurt. Most of the people left, but a few stayed behind because they couldn't get out in time, including me and my family.
Our upstairs neighbors were super nice and let us stay in their upstairs house in case the bay rose higher and flooded our house. It didn't and we would have been fine downstairs, but bro was worried we would get water. The morning after the storm was a huge mess, trees uprooted and toppled over, bits of roofing everywhere along with bits of glass. The bricks on the side of someone's house crumbled off and about five or six porches were ripped apart. All the houses are still intact so nobody's gonna be homeless.
We had no power for five whole days, and before you guys call me a internet junkie, no I'm really not, I can go a week without power. But a week without air conditioning, in the hottest month for Texas? Hell no.. A couple nights were pitch black and it drew in looters, which was just as scary as that freak storm. One of my neighbors said he got followed by a guy with a baseball bat, luckily he had his two big dogs and a gun. But seriously dude, your dumbass snuck up on a dude with two big ass dogs with just a bat? Even if he didn't have a gun, your still getting fucked.
Anyways comics will return soon as long as the power stays on.
And give your best wishes and support to any people or family in Houston they really need it. <3
