Sure enough, it's about that time again! Despite still having a significant backup of posted work to keep on finishing, I have gotten the majority of hours completed from my latch queue now, so we can continue on to lining up a new one! Gonna be rebuilding my savings for the rest of the year now; look forward to lots of productivity and stuff!
NOTES TO BE AWARE OF FOR THIS BATCH OF ORDERS:
As with the past few months, I'll fully acknowledge that my availability may or may not be spottier than Optimum Speed Hanmonster, though I'm completely done now with any significant traveling for the year and will be focussing on work from here out as best I am able. Hangover finishings-up from my prior queue will naturally take precedent to finish over new work here, but I figured it was time to get things lined up again!
PROTOCOL FOR THOSE LOOKING TO OBTAIN A SLOT:
- Successfully claim a slot when open via my journals (SPECIFY AMOUNT OF HOURS)
- Send me a note containing ALL relevant information, written and visual, of the characters in question. This includes descriptions, piece expectations/wants, and ALL absolutely “must have” elements.*
- Send payment to kdavis51[at]uco.edu via paypal WITH A NOTE ATTACHED of your FA username. If I don’t have the latter, it’s hard to tell who sent me what. Don’t be that person!* Seriously though, notes with usernames attached are SUPER ESSENTIAL to make pay identification easier, especially now that Paypal's UI looks like a crappy phone app.
*ALL NOTES AND PAYMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED WITHIN 24 HOURS OF A SLOT CLAIM UNLESS EXPRESSLY STATED OTHERWISE. Failure to do this will AUTOMATICALLY FORFEIT your slot for that round. 1. Ref Sheet for Nullreff (to do when she's present) - 7-ish hours, I remember? - a form-fitting clothed side/front body view would help for suit silhouette ideas if we touch on them - still needs to be done, with her presence
2. Finish up Lionel's ladybug car cat... one day, + portrait, when there's feedback
3. Complete Stripe's Mucha in increments when available AND I CAN GET MY DAMN REFS OFF MY PHONE
4. Next lesson for Fenric's kidlet? When to schedule it (Sundays at 4, stream locked!)
5. Finish up Rath pinup once paid further - previous funds used for gift portraits of cats
6. Take Bast's chosen piece to speedpaint final (swimming one, I think?) from sketch page - when available
7. Finish up Iron's thing after he gets back from TFcon to pay more into it (currently finished up to pay amount + a bit more on portrait)
8. Finish up Jmereis's piece (2-4 more hours in to finish, depending on what we decide)
9. Emma wants a one hour sketch compilation of some things? (Must be done with her presence, specificities not workable otherwise)

In closing...
If anyone who claims a slot would be specifically comfortable with me working on your piece offline (whereas WIPs would still be sent for feedback after any given work session!), specifying it in the claim comment would be HUGELY helpful to me. Due to the continuing struggle of home life still eating me a lot and social energy being unpredictable, there are times I may like to just work offline and out of the public eye. I'll always try my best to arrange for client presence, but Life gets in the way on occasion.
In addition, Dropbox decided to stop hosting third party imaging all together as of the first of the month despite my premium account, so uh, if you have any broken links for images that need retrieving, please don't hesitate to hit me up for a fresh, valid link! Apologies for the inconvenience there. I am still a bit furious about that.
ALSO also, I'm gonna be opening up for a side-queue of icons and portraits as offline/off hour/warmup pieces again once this is sorted out! Should be exciting!

If you're also not quite sure on times, we can always start with a pre-paid minimum of hours you want and then just kind of 'play it by ear' if you wind up wanting to add another hour or two on to it for polish? I'm always fine tacking on a little extra if both parties decide a piece would be better for it, and I know stuff like reference sheets can be slippery and anomalous, given how much or little can be put into them for bells and whistles. Whatever you feel most comfortable with!
