We weathered Irma and BOY am I grateful we just got the roof replaced. Irma beat the crap out of the maple tree in my back yard but it's still standing, just minus a lot of leaves and branches. There's shingles around but we don;t know if they're ours or not. Most of the roughest winds came from the south, and the south side of my house is shielded by another house which took the brunt of things.
But we got through it alright. There's a curfew in place for today while they clean the roads up and lots of places without power but life will start to get back to normal this week.
Thanks for all the good vibes!

While I was happy to see the wobble Irma made inland and it's stubbornness to go north despite where the NHC said it should go, I knew that meant you would have to deal with stronger winds. Lots of howling wind as the eye passed to my east, but I never lost power (well, not for more than a minute, after the third time, I unplugged the computer and read a book). Very minimal if any damage to my house, though others did lose some shingles (many which are in my backyard). Haven't been out of the neighborhood yet to see what else may have happened.
