Tournament Voting System Update
- "Big Votes" now only count for 3 votes, down from 5.
- You can now submit a short story as an alternative to the math breakdown for big votes.
Hello everyone,
Every tournament teaches us (Bogrim and Dragon) more and more about hosting these kind of events. The event is primarily driven by comments, how you guys vote and analyze the matches. The biggest change in this event is the ability to make your vote count for more by doing a combat analysis---and it's had both positives and negatives.
The positive side of it is that it rewards effort and makes voting more personalized. It makes commitment to the event reward you with recognition, contestants both count and hope for your support to help win their battles. And that's awesome. (As a side effect, it also makes fake accounts and cheating much less influential in comparison.)
But the negative is that it just has too much impact, and that means two things. "Big votes" can sometimes settle a match on their own, and there's only one option for making big votes which isn't necessarily fun for everyone (breaking down math).
Therefore, going forward we will be installing a change and a new additional way to make big votes.
- Fight analysis votes only give 3 votes, down from 5.
- You can now post a "story vote" which will also count for 3 votes.
A story vote is has to be at least 500 words for it to count. You can write a story about the fight or the trophy chamber scene (or both!).
You don't need to be a super talented writer to make a story vote (just as you don't need to reach OnyxTanuki's level of math to make a fight analysis vote!). Just give it a proper effort---and have fun writing it. =)
Note: There are no limits to the story except hard gore or death (which aren't part of the tournament---contestants get teleported out of the match in their defeat before they suffer lethal damage!). Dragon also marks this goes for extreme kinks as well (if you wanna write something you think classifies as such, just note

We hope that this will improve the experience going forward without being too drastic a change. And we look forward to seeing some of your creative writings!
