Gaming for Kitties in a Month!

So, with October looming on the horizon I should start getting more details about Gaming for Kitties out there. Hopefully you folks have seen our ad on FA pop up, and if not, keep an eye open! The mediocre web page I cobbled together is still up and functional at http://www.little-tales.com/kitties/ as well. And please note the ‘Merch’ page. I spoke with Carole Baskin at BCR and gave her our logo to do with as she pleased and she had merchandise ready within a couple of days. I bought a shirt for myself and can tell you the printing is really nice, and we don’t see a penny of the profits. It all goes to BCR.
I have about a hundred Humble Bundle codes and will start giving out prizes in October to build up momentum, but the main event will happen October 28-29. I go by eastern time but the web page has a handy little timer if you want to know when things will start exactly. Basically whenever it officially becomes October 28 here in Orlando.
There will be multiplayer slots auctioned off, but this year I am going to try auctioning them off during Kitties. We’ve had trouble coordinating people in the past who won slots but who were unable to get together at the same time as other people who won, so instead we’re going to have an auction during the marathon for time slots and see how that goes, or maybe just “sell” multiplayer slots outright for donations.
We have the movie list prepped for Fox to watch while she’s here, and remember that your donations will be the fuel for her torture. Those of you wondering what I mean specifically, for every $2,000 donated Fox will have to watch a bad movie, and for every $1,000 donated by a specific person, that person will get to either save her from a movie or pick one from the list. If we make 10K Fox will have to watch The Room with Tommy Wiseau. This is where I mention Fox studied film in college and thus this will especially twinge her. If you want to donate prizes, the sooner you let me know the better. RadioPete is commissioning Kazzy to make a Snep themed huggy whale, and I think a couple of people were considering donating 3D printer time if anybody wanted something printed. If you have something you’d like to add to the pile, let me know! My only request is that if it is something that requires mailing to just hold onto it and let me give you the address to mail it to just for efficiency’s sake and to give me less to keep track of. I might even shoot you money to help with shipping if you need me to.
The final way you can help is to simply be there to cheer me on when the marathon starts, and not dump stress on me during October, particularly as the marathon nears. For some reason last year folks thought that ‘no stress’ meant ‘OMG TEH DRAMAZ NAO!’ literally hours before the marathon started and those folks got to meet mister permaban. Please don’t do this. I know a lot of folks don’t even read what I write because this is a big wall of text when I ask people to be considerate of me but please don’t. Kitties is physically and mentally taxing on me and extra stress does not help.
