But heh, understood. I think people are largely hesitant to do that kind of thing... without invitation. It seems (and seemed) like a safe bet, certainly! But peoples awkwardness towards sex and "overt" lewdness in general tends to be very deeply ingrained, even in the "safe" environment of talking with a chill and open fetish artist like yourself.

I guess if you look at it that way it is a little bit sad... A lot of people probably lose out on a lot of fulfillment and happiness worrying about that kind of thing too much.
But that being said, I must say I'd prefer people being overly concerned and unwilling to speak up too over them being overly... familiar and lacking in respect or an understanding of personal space, too.

Yeah, of course. People getting pushy and presumptive, even in a non-aggressive sort of way -- or especially in an overly familiar sort of way -- is a real unpleasant thing to deal with.
And honestly, FA and the people on it are, compared to a lot of sites cough deviantArt, pretty good and respectful about that. It's why this is me and my fiance's preferred place to post our weird crap.
