Don't shut down. It'll hurt for a long time, but never shut down completely or disappear. There are always people who care about you. I may not have lost a fiance, but I have lost plenty of relationships, especially to cheating or eventual explosions too, so I an idea of how you feel. I am grateful for your support. I am trying to keep doing things. I've delved into my fanfiction and it helps to escape reality. I even managed to draw a Greg dragon to go with the Mycroft dragon.

Yeah... she's kinda realised it now but I can't go back to how things were like nothing ever happened. I didn't realise how crappy things had gotten until it all blew up a few weeks ago and I looked back over it all. Enough to know it's best not to go back without changes.

Jeez that sucks. I know it's not the same, but I lost both my cat(more like daughter) and my best friend this past weekend and it has been a really big blow for me. So... I kind of understand? It's totally fair for you to take a break while you adjust. But please try to remember that you CAN have a happy, productive life without them. It might be hard to imagine and it will certainly take some time before you can really function normally again, but just try not to let yourself succumb to depression and give up on yourself.

and of course if you would like to talk about it I am open.

I can understand how hard it would be to lose your cat, since my dog has always been my baby boy.
