Some preconception influenced this outcome. Didn't you say yourself that the publisher's line of other books were about sexual culture? That tends to color the nature of your book as similar to those.

Yeah I was concerned about that when they first offered to publish it, but they promised they wouldn't promote it as such, and they seem to be keeping their word (so far). However, the company describes itself as -
