Mmmmmm, chances are you've heard of it, but I'm a fan of using Pandora.com to find new music. Like... although it's full of advertisements, it's a great way to hear different artists without having to spend anything, or having to have heard of specific artists first. The mechanics of it is that you suggest a song or an artist, or combination of the two, and it forms a playlist based on the genre and qualities of the music, and it adjusts itself based on how you positively or negatively rank songs.

For me, I'm a fan of upbeat techno, and I've found some of my favorite sittin' music by suggesting to it the song "Night Life (Dougal & Gammer Remix)", which led to all sorts of music that goes poundpoundpoundpound *cowbell* poundpoundpoundpound~
