Is it something that can be easily done? Perhaps by mistake? I got a note from someone here and went to reply but the system said they blocked me. It was a friendly note from both parties. Not sure what happened.
Yes, the Furaffinity website has issues were random blocks and unblocks can happen.
This also is an issue with watches becoming unwatched at random. There has been many a time where I was watching someone, only to find out a month later that they became unwatched by the system.
The system banks who you watch and block, and coded errors can disable or change certain numeric values in your account.
Remember when we used to do blocks manually in our Profile Account? The values were set by us personally, so the system didnt need to look at it.
But now that blocks are now also looked after by the system as of Project Phoenix, the same problem with watches is now with Blocks; but in reverse.
Until the Code Team does something, it won't be fixed anytime soon. As the watch issue has been around for years.
Most likely out of laziness, or to much focus on Project Phoenix and other Beta Projects in the works.
hmmm, that might explain why I get blocked some times too. I know there is also a block button on profiles along the slider side near profile statistics, so maybe people are clicking it by mistake when scrolling?

To many buggy betas, and not enough fixes.
