Status Update to Lauralien's Status Update
    8 years ago
So my last update was in... September. I'm sorry for the long wait, but for a while there, the future was too uncertain to be able to make a firm announcement. Now, I finally can.
Unfortunately, it's probably not the announcement people were hoping for. The news is this:
I will not be taking commissions in the foreseeable future. I know I said in the last journal that I'd like to do one more batch in 2017, but a temporary opportunity ended up turning into a full-time job. And the truth of it is that it's honestly more enjoyable (and better paying) than commission work. I know there were people looking forward to me opening for commissions again, and I'm sorry for the let-down, but I feel like this is for the best. I would not be as able to produce a satisfactory product in the time that remains in my day, and the wait time for art would get even longer. To me, that's not acceptable, and also not very healthy for me.
On the positive side (for me), with my focus now placed on "Real Life Laura", I've been feeling healthier than ever. I've rediscovered what it's like to have ample creative energy for personal art... commissions always sapped it away, and it would take me several weeks after a batch to go back to normal. So I'm enjoying my return to selfish productivity. But even if I'm no longer socially focused on the fandom, I hope to continue uploading the better examples of what I draw. For those of you that will be sticking around for some reason, even in the absence of commissions (or dragon art), 99% of new submissions will be personal and related to Trinity Project, just like back in the good ole days when nobody cared about me or my ideas. :P
Happy holidays, everyone!

But at least you are happy with your work. (or, that's what I am taking from it) and that is great! Wish you the best in the future!
I don't mind waiting a long time. :3
Its sad i cant probably never have the full body of reexee draw by you, it would have been an honor i really hope i could have the chance to get one last art by you <:(
It's a little sad - there are a lot of characters and designs I enjoy drawing here, but it wasn't a good long-term plan for me. >_>
Happy holidays to you as well!! ~
Happy Holidays
