AN INTERNET DARK AGE WITH LOSS OF NET NEUTRALITY!
This shit is important!
This is the reason people SHOULD NOT avoid talking about politics!
Those of you that run to your "SAFE SPACES" at the mere thought of anything political are one of the reasons this shit will likely happen.
The cable companies have been working for years on this with the democrats AND republicans alike.
So BOTH sides are to blame, especially these cable/telecom companies.

Basically the internet will be turned into a corporate warfare battleground, with telecom and businesses doing all they can to block or restrict ANYONE and ANYTHING they don't like, just like they do with cable TV.
Hell, google and Amazon and Walmart are already fucking around with each others search results.
And AGAIN I will remind people, "NET NEUTRALITY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MONOPOLIES!"
Why do people keep thinking it has something to do with monopolies?!?!?
Monopolies are dealt with under anti-trust laws!
All Net Neutrality does is makes sure that EVERYONE that uses the internet gets EQUAL TREATMENT AND ACCESS!
Also, if people are going to protest, they need to do it outside of the telecom company headquarters and local offices, make it impossible for people and executives to even get in their buildings to work... Basically a customer strike with picket lines and everything. Bitching and moaning on a college campus or in-front of the local courthouses will do NOTHING as the ones making this happen are the telecom/cable companies.
These cable companies are just like the old world railroads trying to ban automobiles because it is hurting their bottom dollar and they can't keep up with progress... So they want to do the same with the internet by using a 1970s cable subscription model instead, and they have been planning this ever since the internet started hurting their cable TV subscriptions.

Sadly, most people I have met will vote for whomever their parents voted for, big "D" or big "R", and they wouldn't ever think of crossing party lines to vote for said common sense types.
Yeah, there needs to not only be term limits for EVERY elected official, but age limits as well. I read a scary story a few weeks ago about a congressional pharmacist mentioning that "at least" 10 different congress-critters had medications for things like Dementia and Alzheimers!
Though I can guarantee you that if net neutrality gets taken away, there will be more people bitching about THAT then the people that were trying to prevent it in the first place... So many people are reactionary like that, and I bet they will blame everyone and everything BUT themselves and their inaction.
They'd rather post a tweet or make a facebook update and call it done, though they will be screaming when they can't make said tweetbook post because it costs an extra $25 a month. *chuckles*
