livejournal is still a thing?

Not really, but few friends of mine and I decided to take some stuff back there since any modern social media likes to torture us with shitty feed/dash algorhythms.
LJ's feed is still streamlined and clean and untouched like in the old days.
It's a lot better for not missing out on friends doing life updates (like on twitter or facebook or anywhere, really.)

Can't help you with that but I just wanted to pop in to shed a single tear & say I miss the good old livejournal ;; none of the new social sites that came after that never came close. It had precisely all the functions I wanted/needed. Sigh.

I liked twitter for a while, but the "did you miss?" feature and just stuff getting pushed out of order (and sometimes completely obscured from view at all until you view the person's profile) and the "person x liked" BS is annoying.
I wished twitter had made it so that these features are optional :( imo they rly take away from the plattform rather than add anything.

I'm still on twitter, but when I need to spill my mind past text limits, I go LJ again. Totally still digging the friendslist filters, btw.

I think I have one.....it's something I purchased for about $150 in the early 2000s when they were selling "permanent accounts." It now has a label on it called "Account with Permanent package of service." I'm not sure if that's the same as "Permanent Premium" though. But if it is what you're looking for, let me know!
