Hey all, long time no see I know. Since AC life’s been a rollercoaster. Not that it wasn’t much of one beforehand. A lot of good, a lot of uncertainty and just a lot to keep me busy’s crossed my life.
It seems the botox wasn’t much of a match for my fall allergies. It helped ALOT I was still able to function and work on artwork but, I still had a lot of bad migraines. I spent a lot of time in the dark and offline. Along side the migraines I also faced the worst anxiety I’d ever experienced. It would not go away. It was rough.
Though a lot of fun times came along the way a few of the highlights are.
I finally decided on a true fursona if you’ve been following me on twitter and instagram you’ve already seen her though I’m going to keep you all in the dark on her a bit longer. I want to make a full ref before an official introduction. Though I can offer a hint on an aspect that influenced her design. “Don’t feed them after midnight”
I got to go to Carowinds for the first time in years with
Blasterblurby and it was a blast. Riding the new coasters and just seeing how the park’s changed. The Walking with Dinosaurs exhibit was really fascinating. I never realized how many different subspecies of dinosaurs there were. It was also really cool to see how theme park animatronics have come along. I think Stan Winston’d be proud.
Another wonderful thing that happened during the fall is Mattie lost down to her normal weight. She has more energy, is very happy and is the size she was when I first got her. Helping each other recover from my knee/ankle injury’s made all the difference. I unfortunately still have a long ways to go. We found out or rather we got it confirmed most recently that my fibula seems to be following down a different path, it’s not quite where it should be. It’s pinching a nerve and the cartilage is apparently folded. The physical therapist said a lot of what’s really affecting me could be fixed with physical therapy though with only 2 visits a year and 400 a visit it’s not looking very feasible right now but, we’re trying to figure it out.
Back to the highlights, one I’m still kinda reeling from is I unlocked a big, huge art achievement for me. I got my art on a SHIRT! Can you believe it? This has been a dream of mine for a while. I hope to get more of my artwork on a shirt in the future. Though this is a fantastic feeling. I will be holding a preorder for the design soon too.
My annual trip to Myrtle went well this year. I enjoyed running around at the Halloween event and this year I made it to mini golf. It was a challenge but, a lot of fun at the same time. I also got a little more creative with my antics this time despite my knee’s protests. We also got some great photos too.
Another great highlight that’s the most recent is I got to go to a comic con in MB earlier this month. While it didn’t exactly go as planned on the business end it was still a really good time. I got to pick up the prints of a piece I recently finished and will be sharing here very soon and share with others. I met a lot of awesome artists that were very encouraging. My friend that runs a comic shop down there also put my business cards in comic subscribers’s bags. I also met a legally blind artist that recently got picked up by Marvel comics. It was nice to meet someone with similar experiences and problems, accomplish something I’d dreamed about since middle school. He also told me about a tandem cycling camp at the olympic training center in boston I might have to try and figure out how to go to. Man the last time I road a tandem bike was amazing. I’d love to experience that again. I used to ride my bike all the time and then I had to give it up. He told me I might would even have a shot at being on the women’s Paralympic team if the camp were to go really well. That’d definitely be cool.
A lot of opportunities for the future. After the horrible November we had experiencing all these positives made all the difference. Mom had Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and I had some severe migraines. We both were in the bed majority of the month which lead to us missing the thanksgiving meet. When I was up I worked on artwork. Though very little writing instilled during National Novel Writing Month so success on one plain fail on another but, I’m only focusing on the positives here.
Ever since getting back from the con I’ve been really inspired. I’ve just been working and enjoying it a lot. I’ve also made a big decision. After a lot of thinking I’ve decided I’ve decided I wanted to come up with a new company name, rebrand myself. I have some ideas to try and appeal to a wider audience and just be more professional in general.
I feel now’d be as good of a time as any to kinda revamp everything. My company name, heck even my handle were placeholders in the first place and I think I might finally try to figure something more permanent out that I would feel comfortable with anywhere. On business cards, as a website domain and whatever else.
I have a lot of professional plans that I’m hoping to put into place between now and some time next year. I’m still trying to figure it all out but, I feel like this is an important step forward for me.
How have you been? Looking forward to Christmas or whatever holiday you celebrate?
Before I go I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas, just in case I don't post again beforehand.

I'm really excited for this year's art summary though. For the first time I won't be scavenging for something per month.
How've you been?
I've set a self imposed deadline that's coming up pretty quickly.
Best of luck with reaching your deadline. I've been struggling with reaching mine. Think I might have to take some lessons from Kazul if I'm going to get my big build for the year done in time.
