So... This was a weird year. Tremendous highs, crushing lows. and lord did it seem to both rocket by but also felt like every week was a million years long in some deeply unsettling way. :/

Started off great, with a trip to Atlanta to hang with  ONightwish and  Ranan at their new year's party. Rolled along to havung  ONightwish: and  lordborel up in march, which was wonderful even though I was sick. Then we got to surprise our friends by showing up at blfc, which was fun and interesting, if not always to my taste. Oh, and I got a body suit for my suit finished, and new handpaws made!

And then AC happened, and my grandfather died, right in the middle of it. I'm still sorting that out. It hurts, a lot. Especially these first holidays without him. I just wish I'd had, well. More time. More chances to do things with him, and learn from him, and to keep around more of the things that meant so much to him and my grandmother.

Lots of other personal drama surrounded this, but I'm coping now, to some extent.

We went to Vancouver to visit  cygnovum and  jerbie, and got to visit with  chiswickgryphon,  nynn and Artimoverne too.

Then there was a trip to Atlanta to see the eclipse while visiting  ONightwish and  Ranan, which was great. :3

 lordborel moved here to Columbus around August, which has been great :3 Been really nice to have someone to regularly have around for gaming and hanging out. I think if we move somewhere else we might have to drag him with us. :3

A bittersweet moment came in the fall, when  Jousterl and  Skytea moved out to California, but it was a good move for them, and we'll just have to make sure we try to hard to visit our friends in KY still.

More visits from  ONightwish and  Ranan in November for Thor, and then a whole boatload of people came up in December for "Woof Wars", including  ONightwish:  nynn  sekh765,  Cygnovum,  Nandrattle, and  frozenfox. It was a huge amount of fun, and seeing star wars with friends was really great. :3

And through it all, the crazy political shit, some personal health stuff, weird fandom drama, and me feeling older in ways I dislike. Also lots of flying. More flying than I've ever done before, actually. Which that's kinda not much fun, but it's worth it to see people you enjoy hanging out with. :3

Also some personal (read adult) discoveries about my interests, that definitely have helped me discover more stuff I enjoy, and be more willling to engage on it. That's been nice, and thanks to you know who you are for... well a lot of help there, honestly. I appreciate it in a lot of ways, more than just the obvious. And thanks for putting up with me being... well, me. I really appreciate it, and I'm trying to do better over time.

So next year we're gonna at least hit FWA, AC, and MFF at least for a couple days. Beyond that I definitely wanna visit friends some more, and we have some plans to do that already in the works, and some that need to be planned further. I'm hoping the political BS settles some, but I don't have much faith that it will. Also hoping my personal health stuff get less ridiculous but... we'll see.

Through it all I know  L0st will be with me as best he can, and I'll be there for him as best I can.

Sometimes, that's all you can plan on.
