*** IMPORTANT bad news on FurnalEquinox & my DJset ***

I have some bad news regarding my attendance and the Retro DJ set at Furnal Equinox 2018, I will not be attending due to them cancelling my DJ set.
The reason for them canceling my DJ set is due to seeing the recent twitter dispute I’ve had with someone, and attempting to force me to make a public apology over something that did not involve their convention. However, the past few days I have been talking with this individual and we already worked out the issue. It was just a misunderstanding over that different cultures have different beliefs & views on native/first nations items, and it got worked out with just a simple talk on a phone. The big issue was when the other people & trolls wanted to get involved and began to throw their 2-cents in, and certain people who just thrive on drama get involved to make a mountain out of an ant-hill so to speak.
So they basically wanted me to make a public apology to everyone on an issue that was already resolved so I could keep my DJ spot. I really wish they would have just talked to me first about the issue rather than telling me I wasn’t allowed to DJ if this wasn’t resolved. ( Basically they attempted to "BLACKMAIL" me, which is a criminal offense in certain cases in Canada. Corruption & favoritism in a furcon staff of directors is wrong, immoral, and disgraceful to this community,and Canada.
Then apparently they claim that I posted on "forums" that I had cancelled FE 100%. The only spot I mentioned this was in the private SSC telegram group, which was because I thought they already cancelled my set. Apparently someone took screen shots of that and sent it over to the heads of FE. I never once said to any of them I wasn’t going or wasn’t going to still do the set. However, the next thing I get is another email from a different director of FE, stating that they heard from “forums” that I was no longer going, and they were now cancelling my set.
I was just a little surprised at the lack of communication between them and myself to work this issue out before they completely cancelled my DJ set.

So not only did i get shafted (and used back in 2012 by internal favoritism & corruption) i get shafted a second time after i was willing to give that convention a second chance 5 years later. NEVER AGAIN.
I can send you the emails to show the original threat of removing my set if I didn’t comply with their demand, and the following emails where they cancelled it anyway. contact me directly via PM, Telegram, or via Twitters DM's.

Well its their loss, all they succeeded in doing is to diminish the quality of their con. Its short sightedness like this that leads me to strike off FE from the list as a con I may want to attend in the future.
We gotta get you down here to Furry Fiesta, where the folks are friendly.

but even better man, when me and my friends reported to con staff at FAU about a 27+ year old harassing and touching my 13 YEAR OLD FRIEND (age at the time of the con) the con did nothing and he since got a new suit and is a volunteer at many cons today despite us trying to report him.... granted they are different cons so it's not related directly to the con you're talking about, but the fact that it IS so many different cons that blind site certain issues and blow others up for no reason is concerning me because I would love to go to a con that doesn't make you feel like if you even whisper that you disagree with a staff member you'll be banned :/
Bringing someones personal fights that has nothing to do with the convention into convention politics is just unprofessional and completely bias at best. It's not like yall were saying you'd make a scene AT the convention, its a shame and i'm sorry this has happened to you :(
And buddy i know Twitter is a way to share some infos with ur fans but hear the truth : Twitter is the trash of internet. Where u will meet all the worst people and thinkers possible, full of kids unable to think who are just here to post porn, insults and harass people with they aren't agree.. and worst is they spread out diffamating screenshots or fake ones to serve their ideologies.
So best for u is to leave this shit seeking down so deep in their shit that they will never see the sun or be able to breath anymore
Seems to be quite the trend amongst media and politics. . Don't sweat it. As long as you're happy with the outcome of the issue. that's what matters.

I'm sorry you had to put up such childish unprofessional behavior from them. I hope the other cons will treat you better down the road.
I did some work for their promotional buttons for free, two years in a row. Want to know what they did? Posted the art to all their social media accounts and didn't even bother to credit me as the artist lol. Although it did get sorted out once I brought it to their attention, it's something myself and many others think should not of happened in the first place.
I've been friends with several members of staff, really good people, who got shafted and left. Guess they are too obsessed with becoming "Canada's Anthrocon" with their virtue signalling bullshit to actually care about the people that MAKE their convention possible. It's disgusting, and I'm sorry you had to experience this.
