Yeah I'll put it this way. When I was working at Firehouse Subs, we had that Mad Dog 360 Collector's Edition sauce. I believe the website said it was over 600,000 Scoville (though I think it's higher). I put some across my sandwich one day thinking it might be the equivalent of taking the Blazin' Challenge at Buffalo Wild Wings, which I'd done before easily and was awarded the Blazin Challenge T-shirt as proof.

Damn, was I ever wrong. Upon biting into the sandwich, my mouth and throat began burning and swelling up immediately, my whole body felt like it was overheating, my heart rate skyrocketed and I was in constant total agony. I thought I would need to go to the hospital, I felt like I was actually dying. I threw up twice and continued to feel the capsaicin burn through my digestive tract, from my live to my stomach and intestines, for 2 whole days.

Just from that, I can say resiniferatoxin would definitely hospitalize me or kill me.

The "10" hot sauces aren't that bad. Mad Dog 357 regular is on there. The 357 Collector's Edition however we had to hide, and ranked it at "21" because it's so hot that most customers that try it as a challenge or dare end up puking their guts out either on the floor, in the parking lot or (if they're lucky) in the bathroom. That stuff doesn't play, as I'd said.

I don't know if it's a food sensitivity or the fact I used way too much. I think sauces that hot are intended to be served in drops, and I applied it more like a condiment (a whole stripe across my large sub, as though I were putting dijon mustard on it). I'd already tried it before on a toothpick and while it was still hot as fuck, it didn't sicken me at all.

That's what I ran into with hot sauces -- I like flavor with my heat. If something just tastes like burning and ash (as many of the uber-hot sauces do, especially at Buffalo Wild Wings) there's no point in suffering the burn. Their Mango Habanero sauce is at least sweet and flavorful, but their Blazin' (now made with Ghost peppers, because they had a limited-time ghost pepper sauce that was way fucking hotter than original Blazin' and I guess it caught on) is just awful. Nothing but burn for no good reason other than to entertain your friends while you guzzle milk and water in a futile attempt to alleviate the burning.

Yeah fuck that lol. Ghost pepper chips. Its dehydrated, freeze dried, ghost chilies added with salt and other spices like garlic etc.

Yeah you have to graduate from the Jalapeno pepper and Habanero class of spicy to reach the ghost pepper section. Very hot stuffz.

I love this brand of chips though! The Spicy Queso flavor is delicious, but I think just the simple (non-spicy) Nacho Cheese ones are my favorite.

If you are going to drink milk, be sure it is whole milk. The milk fat is what helps stop the capsaicin reaction in your mouth.

I’m not too big a fan of spicy stuff. I can handle it to an extent, but certain spicy stuff I need to have with milk or something. One trick I’ve heard also works is to eat bread, but you can substitute bread with flour tortillas since they seem to work just as well. I think it’s something to do with flour itself, but I’m not positive exactly why it works so well. Anyway, you’re braver than I am for even going near anything with ghost pepper in it. I wouldn’t be able to eat something that spicy if my life depended on it XD.
