Someone now knows I'm a furry.

-I posted this in my LJ but it just blew my frigging mind tonight so I'm posting it here too.
Man oh man! I did it again! What am I doing?! I told someone else I was a furry today. Ahh! Now this person I told is not just a friend but someone I see every single day of my life. I told my sister! Yes, that's right, my one and only sibling. I was pulling my fur out about this. I was really on the fence on this one. From day one I didn't know if I should tell her or not. Somedays, I told myself absolutely no way and other days I almost did but chicken out. Today was the day though. Actually we just got done watching some of the footage I had from anthrocon. We didn't finish it all because she had to go somewhere but I tell ya, my frigging hands are shaking like crazy right now and I'm jittery as hell! It really is a goddamn adrenaline rush!
It all started when we were watching tv a few hours ago and they were talking about restaurants in Pittsburgh PA. I was thinking to myself "oh man, I saw that; I was there!" So I say to my sister "Can you keep a huge, huge, huge secret? It's nothing bad, but it's a bit odd and mom and dad would totally not get it and they would be all upset and pissed at me about it." So she promised not to tell anyone and we thumb sweared on it, like we were little kids or somthing. I heard of a pinky swear but never a thumb swear. She said it's better then a pinky swear because thumbs are stronger than pinkies.
So anyway, after she promised, I went and grabbed my Anthrocon 2009 shirt and I showed it to her. What she said when she saw the shirt was music to my ears. She said "That's awesome! I would have went with you." I was like holy crap, thank god she is cool with it. Then she started asking me all about the convention and I proceeded to tell her how frigging sweet it was. Then we went through the bag of goodies and all the other stuff I got from the convention. I was showing her all this crap and my hands were all shaky and what not. The real kicker is she was looking though the 3 con books I have and she was like "oh this is Blotch's work and this is so and so". She even knows a few furry artists on deviant art.
I don't know if I could consider my sister a total fur or not, but she has had quite some exposure to the fandom and knows her stuff. I don't know if I mentioned this before or not but I showed her a lot of fursuit vids on you tube. At first we did it for laughs but the more and more videos she saw I think she really started to like it. Also she is an artist herself and draws cartoon style wolves. Nothing anthro, that I know of though but her art is really good. Hmm, she did say she would like to go with me to a convention though. My god, I can't even think how nuts it would be having her at a con with me. Hell, and if she got into fursuiting, that would be like the most awesome thing ever. Can you imagine the insanity that could unfold with the two of us running around like fursuiting maniacs?
Where was I? Oh yes, so she was totally digging my Anthrocon goodies. Then I was like ok, time to take out the big guns. It's movie time! So I showed her the "everybody messing with me" video and she saw it from start to finish and she said "Where where you? I didn't see you." I pointed with mouse and I was like "that's me in the fursuit". She totally could not believe it. Now what happend next was so funny to me I lol'd right in her face.
Immediately after she discovered I was a fursuiter the first words out of her mouth were "OMG did you see JD Puppy when you were there?" I was dieing after she said that! I was like "Did I SEE him, DID I SEE HIM?! I'm frigging friends with guy and I have lunch with him!" Her jaw just dropped after that, it was so awesome. Then she asked about the furry with the slime (Tilt). And again I was like "hell yeah! I'm buds with him too! I was drinking with him at AC!" Then the next big question was "Where is the fursuit? I want to see it!" I showed her just the head and one of the feet really fast, but now she knows of the top secret fursuit location. I can totally trust her though, now that I know she is on my side of the furry fandom.
Well this whole separate furry life thing is just blowing up my face. I've got non-furry friends knowing I'm furry, my furry friends meeting my non-furry friends and now a family member knowing that I'm a furry with the potential of becoming a furry themselves. Ahh, what am I doing?! I'm breaking all my goddamn rules! I do think it was a good idea to tell her though. Now, I can talk to her about all sorts of furry stuff and were not both pretending not to know too much about the fandom. Best of all we might be able to rock fur cons together.

Completely mad.
They're coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA
To the funny farm
Where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see
Those nice, young men
In their clean, white coats
And they're coming to take me away, Ha-haaa!
Happy for you, though. Hope the good luck continues.
Have you shown her the costume in person yet? ;)
Most people kinda freak out but i guess comedy guys get lucky.
