Update! Future changes, patreon slots, etc
7 years ago
Hey guys, sorry it's been such a slow trudge through this last round of commissions!
I've got one more batch of the old queue left and after that I am officially done taking queues in the future. It's inflexible, tiresome, and makes gaps between openings much, much too large. I end up getting a bunch of large orders at once since I let people order as much as they'd like, and the result is slots that can take a huge amount of time to get through if I get a bunch at once, which I often do. It also leaves me feeling like I absolutely can't draw anything unless it's commissions from my queue, which given these take so long to get through, I end up never drawing anything I want to.
In the future, I'll be taking monthly limited openings with no wait list, and I will request people comment with how much they want in their order (say you want two two hour drawings, a one hour drawing, and a mini, I'll have you comment with that list so I know what to expect from your order) and normal openings will still work on a first come, first served basis, but I'll accept orders until I've hit a certain amount that I can complete within a month. I'll be taking half my slots from patreon, half from here. I'll also be bumping up my prices a little since I've been spending extra time on things lately to make them a nicer finish quality.
I'll also do some non-standard openings where I only open for certain types, do non-fcfs openings where I choose what I want to do, and I'll be making time for YCH auctions with scenes of my choosing and design sales. All in all this'll be more flexible, more productive, less overwhelming, and give people more opportunities to commission me! I'm really excited and relieved to be changing things up, and I'm looking forward to the freedom and flexibility this will allow me.
I also have a couple of patreon subscription tier slots open! Most that I opened last night have been snagged, but I have one two hour slot and two one hour slots open, plus "sketch" slots, which can get you something like this - https://sta.sh/0hldrpefvmz and you can also save your time from any tier to compile your hours across months! So two sketch tier months can get you a one hour, two one hour months can get you a two hour, etc.
It's been a rocky past several months but I am feeling much better and am getting the help of some very lovely friends to stay on top of things, one of which is getting a new commission set up going for me and another friend will be posting art for me, so it'll be more active from now on! I've been feeling really bogged down and overwhelmed, but I'm feeling really refreshed with all these changes and the help I've received, and I'm looking forward to the next few months!
Thanks guys as always, I really appreciate the interest in my work, and I hope I can make things run a little smoother so I can give you more opportunities to receive art from me!

I always miss the journals >w<
I'm really happy your changing things up cause this does give you a good break and lets you chose what you wanna draw and i know that helps a hecc ton with morale <3
I just became a patreon of yours! Can't believe I didn't know you had one before that! Congrats on all the success you get from it - as you certainly deserve it and I'm now glad to be apart of a group supporting you!
And thank you so much for your pledge, I really appreciate it!!
1) When I verified my subscription, it told me that I'd be charged on April 1st for March's pledge. Do Patreons without the pay-up-front feature run a month behind? As in, I'll be charged in the beginning of April and then receive March's rewards, and so forth? I noticed that you have a new form for collecting April's rewards so I wasn't sure how you yourself handled this, whether you did the whole 'month behind' thing or if you just counted each beginning payment as payment for THAT month. If you could explain your process, I'd appreciate it!
2) I'm currently a Sketch Tier patron, but I can definitely see myself holding off now and again to build up my pledge to either a one-hour or two-hour piece-- if I were to hold out for a one-hour, would I abstain from collecting a piece of art for two months, and then on that second month receive the one hour, or would I abstain for two whole months, and then on the third month receive the one-hour?
For your first question, you will get your art in April, yes! I believe Patreon still lets you access my posts and all that so you should be able to see my other content even if payments haven't processed, but art subscription work is counted at the beginning of every month after payments. After payments are processed and people send me their prompts, work begins. If that doesn't answer your question let me know!
For the second, if you want to save up for a one hour drawing, you can basically get a one hour drawing every other month! Say payments process for April, you hold for that month, then when payments process at the start of May, you send your prompt for your one hour drawing to me then and then work will begin on your slot.
hope you doing ok.
that said I figured i'd drop this as I don't think it's as well known just yet but there is a software that was created by another furry artist that will upload your art across your accounts all at once. :)
i've actually been thinking of trying it myself!
