It was sadly over looked by the craters, an game testers that the bike could be used in such a way to do what it did, just as back in the day, they didn't expect someone to go talk to the old man an surf on the eastern coast of cinnabar island an find Missingno. in Red and Blue, it happens, an doesn't make the Pokemon any more legit, rather they are glitched.
Regardless I figure you have a right to do it, after all the event is still on Pearl an Diamond, so why is it only Platinum that has the right to get it? Pearl an Diamond have the ability for wifi gifts. So that's pretty lame on there part anyway.
Furthermore though, it's all a bit of a scam to go tossing around pokemon at "events only" while knowing that more than half your target audience can't even make the event because they're minors. AND then also expecting that no one's going to try and get it another way because they favor the pokemon.
Reacting over legal matters involving the incident would be like reacting legally over the group that translated Mother 3. "Well you sure as well weren't planning on bringing it here and teased us with Brawl, why the hell can't I at least enjoy the game?"
I do agree with that, but the Platinum one all you need is a Internet connection your DS can see, an you can get the item without going out to an event, it just bothers me that you can't connect Pearl or Diamond an get the event active. I'm sure they knew people would get it another way, I'm sure Day one of Pearl Diamond online trades where filling with Darkrai an what not.
Well I'm not saying Nintendo is going to break there goons out to rough people up as funny as it'd be, hah. Well, they did try to get the translation official before done 3 times, an even then Nintendo could have told them to stop, and they said they would due to respect an to avoid such things, but Nintendo didn't. Also Mother 3 was popular in Japan, an taking out a whole character just for it's English release could really mess things up... though personally I find the game messed up enough as it is, I miss Melee hah.
