I'm not a expert in character design. Actually most of my character designs are bad.

But if you think your character might be bland maybe try a special iconic hat, or like wristband or some sort of other accessory that is part of "you" to help you stand out?

But I have no idea what kind of accessory could be some kind of permanent fixture on Whiski though. :o

A harness is a good choice. Maybe in a style, color, or material that makes it stand out

Maybe a cursed harness that makes its wearer a fat slob. X3

I think your character would look nice with some orange and cream decadent in the form of a oversized Hawaiian shirt and Khakis. Such colors would compliment the blue steel fur and add some warmth to the otherwise cool composition. I personally do not see weakness in the design, though perhaps in the knees :p.

You know, that isn't a bad idea at all. I might have to get Whiski drawn with that kind of clothing and see how it looks. :D And Whiski's knees are just fine for someone his size. >.>

Honestly, I love your design. Your character is very fetching and honestly, if you feel you wanna spice it up just try different things then I say go for it. Do what makes you happy and fulfilled

Well the harness you are wearing in your icon is, I think, fairly iconic for you. It is in your icon after all, and it is a cool accessory. And like someone else said, maybe consider wearing your trucker hat more often. Hats are always good. As are harness.

But if you really want to have a somewhat more unique species that would still befit your sona's other characteristics, I'm sure I have a good suggestion or two (I have a lot of suggestions, just maybe not good ones most of the time).

If you just wanted a somewhat rarer creature that fits really well to how your character is now, I'd like to recommend a Tanuki or a Squirrel or a Hamster. Those have been done by a few other adventurous fatfurs, but only a few, and they'll never have quite the same deluge that Wolves have. But of those, Tanukis are just as well liked as Wolves even if they aren't as common, whereas the others might be a tad more adventurous.

You could also try a Rat, since that's something with a similar shape and occasionally similar personality to your current sona that also sometimes comes in gray/silver, if that's a color you really like.

If, on the other paw, you really want to change it up with something really exotic and find the fact that everyone else here (including myself) likes the way you are now kinda annoying when you are trying to break free of the mould, then I want to recommend a Tapir or an Elephant. (Tapirs are what the Pokemon Drowsee is based on, in case that helps you understand. But IRL they are much more muted two color creatures, being part light gray and part dark gray).

We think you look great already, and probably you still will no matter what, but if you want to try something new then those are my suggestions for now. No matter what, I'm excited to find out what it is that you decide for yourself to do :3

Wow, thank you for all the suggestions. You really put some thought into it. Thank you for that. :3 I am actually already mixing a bit of polar bear into Whiski's design to see if that make him stand out a bit more. I'm thinking 1/4 polar bear and 3/4 the same old wolf.

But if that doesn't work, I'll consider some of the species you mentioned. Thank you for all the advice. :3
