FA is far left, as proven by the new CoC
First off, Refer you to the new Code of Conduct as posted by Fender, http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/8733053
To highlight the issue, please refer to this part:
What about Antifa, "Alt-Left" and the Alt-Light (New Right)?
At this time, we could not find enough evidence to consider Antifa a hate group and what was provided appeared to be of false-equivalence. There has been voiced concern about their operations on Fur Affinity and we have and will continue to monitor and take action against any user who promotes or encourages illegal activites and violence on our website as per our rules. Concerning the Alt-Left, there is no evidence one exists, and the Alt-Light or New Right has specifically distanced themselves from the Alt-Right and openly rejected hate and identity politics.
Lets further focus on the first sentence: "At this time, we could not find enough evidence to consider Antifa a hate group and what was provided appeared to be of false-equivalence."
To counter such false claims, I present you with links:

"Federal authorities have been warning state and local officials since early 2016 that leftist extremists known as “antifa” had become increasingly confrontational and dangerous, so much so that the Department of Homeland Security formally classified their activities as “domestic terrorist violence,”

Short for militant leftists, or occasionally far leftists and radical leftists, often used as a generalization of people who commit to acts of violence against those on the Right side of the political spectrum

The Antifa (English: /ænˈtiːfə/ or /ˈæntiˌfɑː/)[1] movement is a conglomeration of autonomous, self-styled anti-fascist militant[2] groups in the United States.[3][4][5] The principal feature of antifa groups is their opposition to fascism through the use of direct action.[6] They engage in militant protest tactics, which has included property damage and physical violence.[3][7][8][9] They tend to be anti-capitalist[10] and they are predominantly far-left and militant left,[11][6] which includes anarchists, communists and socialists.[12][13][14][15] Their stated focus is on fighting far-right and white supremacist ideologies directly, rather than politically.[6]

Last weekend in Berkeley, Calif., a group of neo-communist antifa — “anti-fascist” — thugs attacked peaceful protesters at a “No to Marxism in America” rally, wielding sticks and pepper spray, and beating people with homemade shields that read (I kid you not) “No Hate.” The Post reports how one peaceful protester “was attacked by five black-clad antifa members, each windmilling kicks and punches into a man desperately trying to protect himself.” Members of the Berkeley College Republicans were then stalked by antifa goons who followed them to a gas station and demanded they “get the [expletive] out” of their car, warning, “We are real hungry for supremacists and there is more of us.”
Need I go on? The proof is in the pudding, as the saying goes. Antifa is a hate group, yet is allowed to get away with the hate it causes and brings and is protected here on Fur Affinity. It is obvious that the top people of the site are either supporters and sympathizers, or are active members, causing hate and violence against anyone that isn't left of Marxism. To be clear, this is solely to expose the hypocriticalness of the staff and those in charge with their push and forcing of political ideology. However, this is still a privately owned website that offers a free service and also paid services, and the owners are allowed to do fuck all with it as they see fit. None the less, I will call them out on their blatant bullshit and hypocrisy.
Feel as you like, think as you like, and do as you like, but do it with true knowledge and facts, instead of lies, falsehoods, and feelings alone.

FA+

Because you know, 'if you're not antifa you're a fascist'.
I think it's a money decision more than one based on ideology...not that I agree with it.
Nothing says "equality" like censorship and oppression. ^_^
Antifa is a hate group just as the likes of the KKK and BLM, plain and simple. Antifa's tagline is: "punch a nazi", and they label ANYONE they disagree with as a nazi, including gay Jewish black libertarian guys.
The US government labels antifa as a hate group, multiple other countries label them as a hate group or terrorist organization.
What is hilarious about communist/socialist/marxist organizations is that the majority of front line people that help create authoritarian/totalitarian governments are ALWAYS the first to be rounded up and killed/jailed/disappeared by their new "equality" minded regimes, because the ones that make it into power immediately recognize the over-throwers as a threat since they now have experience in regime change.
History shows us that bans and censorship just make the things that are being banned and censored even stronger.
To become communist/socialist/fascist is to dig one's own grave.

What sucks, is that by the time the "average" person notices shit becoming crazy, it will already be way too late.
Thats just an opinion, of course- Most of furry fandom has always had a huge tendency to avoid conflict or anything that might lead to confrontation.
You could well be right, but I suspect its just an attempt/excuse to stay really distant in order to avoid being drawn into an argument over the entire situation.
Oddly enough, I've been watching quite a few videos on this subject the last couple of weeks.
Its more of a horrified fascination...Kind of like watching a black widow spider eat a grasshopper in its web than anything else.
Well, that and having several politically charged protests/fights happen within walking distance of my house in the last year or two...

Though thing is, historically then the left tends to attract a lot more creative talent than the right - why that is, is a long story - but a lot of young left-leaning users on this will obviously be able to apply pressure to the management.
so ya, I too think its conflict aversion.
The alt right is powerless - but if antifa saw FA as a target, then management could become targets, and they don't want that
