If only FA let you change usernames!

A lot of artists I follow tend to stick everything in Scraps on their old accounts and reupload their "Greatest Hits" to the new account. Unfortunately, it is like starting over but with a slight head-start. You can post journals and upload reminders all day but some people are unwilling to rewatch you or they simply do not realize you've moved accounts. There are several artists that I never realized changed accounts until I go looking at their page and finally see the one journal they posted.

I wonder why not? this way seems to leave a bunch of dead accounts

Yea unfortunately you gotta do everything manually. I would make a journal that your moving as well as a few reminder submissions to make sure all your watchers see.

I never even dared associate your name with minecraft. Personally I think this is a really cool name. Albeit, and unusual one. Anyway yeah you have to reupload everything to a new account and even alert your followers via a journal.

I've had it for SO LONG all my accounts email ect are all based around it and it's sentimental at this point

but I've also had it for so long that it feels "childish" and dated to my personality/aesthetics now

so idk I don't even have a new name idea lol

i used to move accounts all the time when i was younger. this account was actually one i made impulsively several years ago and only just came back to it maybe 2-3 years ago.
what i've found is that our follower count doesn't really represent how many people actually/actively watch us. when you move, you'll find out that there is a pretty big handful of dead accounts that follow you. it can hurt a bit... but you can definitely start fresh this way.
i think most people just leave their gallery up on their old account, and start posting new stuff on their new account. reuploading can be a bit difficult on most sites, especially FA (with their like 15 second time limit for posting back to back pieces), so i've seen people even list their old gallery on their page.

usually i suggest not moving accounts, but changing usernames is where FA really falls behind on. at least on dA you have the option to change ur username if you pay a small amount of $? but getting a following back can be pretty difficult, in my experience.

What I did was make a new account entirely on a diffrent email and just put on my old page that I moved accounts and added my new account link on the old page
