A foxes true nature

We are very popular among the world, but underappreciated for who we are.
Common misconceptions:
- That we are oblivious fools, and mischief makers.
We only appear that way! We don’t want the world to know what we know, or to think of us as smart, unless they’ll actually remember our hearts. Knowledge is the most valuable currency there will ever be, but it creates loneliness, and we’d rather not indulge in that.
- Some say we never work hard, or evolve.
That’s not true! I will admit that we have struggles with staying with the same idea, but that’s because we don’t see the point in dwelling with the past. We move on, and we never stop adapting. It doesn’t matter what we have to do, or what we feel. Even in the most bitter of moments, we will never stop believing in our futures, and in our ability to survive. Nothing kills us until we are dead, and all of our dreams come true.
- That we’re fake.
Is that really so? Or are we trying to fool you? I’ll let you think of this one on your own. A fox takes off its masks for the right people.
- All foxes are sluts.
Absolutely not true. Instead we celebrate fertility, and all things that people who over indulged in ego will find distasteful. Some of us are loose, and some of us are very faithful. You need not worry as long as you’ve got the right fox.
We are wise in that we are fools. Our wisdom is not for the elite, or the most soured of scholars. It’s guarded, and we will test you.

damn right.
It helps when people remember that having a fursona doesn't mean you're actually a fox. People are humans, foxes are animals. That and that many of these stereotypes come from appropriated cultural myths that are just that: myths. That said while not all foxes are sluts there are a lot of people in this fandom who picked that for a 'sona because they enjoy the stereotype. It's not really a stigma its more something said in an affectionate manner. At least the only time I've ever heard a furry mention foxes being sluts it was either as a boast or used by someone's friend/partner to tease them.
