Anything from Miracle of Sound or Nightwish are winners for me, and "Collapsing" by Demon Hunter is one of my favorites in and out of Killing Floor 2. "Sleepless Lullaby" by Bright September's also worth checking out.

Hell yeah!!! Absolute same, symphonic metal has been a long-time favorite genre!! Gloryhammer comes to mind! Warrior by Secret and Whisper is a great track!! And March of the Varangian Guard by Turisas -- a go-to when I need a fight song to get me through the day!

Real tho, if you aren't listening to Powerwolf -- treat yoself! They're so over the top and fun. I mean, they're the people behind the ultimate Deus Vult meme song. xD

They're all folk artists. My main genres are all electronic but that actually makes it more difficult to rec music (without a lengthy discussion or something). I generally find it impossible to rec music in genres I'm knowledgeable about if I don't know enough about the other person. :P

I'm very familiar with Wardruna!!! Absolutely love them -- nothing's better to listen to while hiking in the woods, truly. Helvegen...oh man. I used this track to great effect as as background song for a D&D session I was running, came up right as I got to do an epic monologue and my entire party thought I had it planned out, haha!! (I only admitted to it being a happy accident after the fact ;D)

All this dark folk music is A+!!!! Pleten by Ochelie was super cool and intense! I've bookmarked them on bandcamp and I'm gonna go through the rest of their discography for sure! And Heilung, wowwwwwww -- I only watched the first 10 minutes or so for now, but bookmarked it, that's something I wanna watch when it's dark out with my good headphones. 8)

For Folk, I definitely recommend FAUN and this track by Peter Gundry - Goëtia! UMAI by Shireen, also good -- Sólstafir's Miðaftann, also a good track with an interesting music video.

For Electronic, gotta recommend this mix of Live Another Day by Matrix & Futurebound. Vexento is one of my favorites. Chase It by WRLD, and this one I stumbled across today: Andromedick - Holding On!

Haha, I'm [proud? ashamed? a combo of the above?] to admit I've already heard all your electronic recommendations. Although in the past 1-2 years I've been distancing myself a bit from that area. I've only been trying new music outside of my bubble for the past year or so. I used to be very isolated. The eternal depth vs breadth issue, you know: whenever you put time into getting deeper into your core genres, you're losing experience in other genres. I took that to an extreme in the dnb and hardcore genres especially.

I love the Shireen track! I'm lucky I responded during one of my slow music phases. I have periods like now when my music listening is more melodic/calm, but usually I listen to a lot more fast and technical music, and if I try to go against it I don't enjoy myself very much. The other folk tracks are nice too, thanks a lot. :)

I recently discovered The Cog is Dead that I liked a lot. Especially the album Steam Powered Stories which is like an old timey adventure serial in musical form.

In turn, I gotta recommend Aurelio Voltaire -- Riding a Black Unicorn is the album I started with!! A lot of fun rhymes and a similar style to The Cog is Dead! How can you go wrong with a track titled "The Straight Razor Cabaret"? :D
