So! So so so. So.
Anthrocon happened. It was wonderful. Like, seriously, one of the best things I have ever gone to, it was wonderful, full of amazing people, fun panels, and beautiful, beautiful suits. Ill get back to those later as I have about a hundred pictures of them, keep seeing them out of the corner of my eye after the con, and have an... ahem, plan.
So! first things first. I had a chance to see a huge portion of the fandom in one place. I got to talk to the publishers that focus on the fandom alone, and tons of furs about what they do. I met some fun people too. And I have decided on the future of the Divine Wasteland through that.
So one thing I looked towards was the Vilous universe. There's a lot of fans, and their dedication is strong. Not sure how Mick got that shit soooo popular but I think I know how to start towards something like that- A comic.
I have the skills, and the Divine Wasteland has more than enough content and style to make a really good comic. Just takes time. But I think something of the sort may be in the future once several commissions are done. The writing speed of book 3 should also go up too. But this also means stepping away from the broader market entirely and going with the fandom, which means I may- may- take humans out of the books all together, replace them with another species or remove them entirely if I do. Because that'd be great, and better for me if Im drawing a comic. So expect more in the future about this plan!
But, another plan I now have is to get into fursuiting. Specifically, fursuit building. At the con I purchased a cheap but heavy and thick dragon tail and I wore it around the con. At the end, when resting in the hotel room with my partner (we saw and met for the first time too, whoo!) I still felt like it was on and weighty, for hours after. Even after driving for eight hours to get home it feels like its still damn well there. And I love it, its practically euphoric, to even feel like thats there...
So, building a suit is the next step! I have the skills, I wanna do iittt. Sona may change a bit in the process but dont worry she's only gonna get cuter. Cuz now, after that wonderful time, I wanna go to more cons. It was wonderful.
Anthrocon itself was wonderful, last thing I saw before I had to get on the road was the dance finals and they were amazing and rather adorable. Ill talk more of my experience there another time, hehe. But for now... Thanks, everyone, for being with me for this entire long run. And its only gonna keep getting betterrr~!
