Klaue means well.
Criticism is good, it helps in the long run but it also makes you feel like crap about today's work and sucks the feeling of accomplishment out of the moment, I gotta admit. In some cases it can actually discourage people. Sounds egotistical and ungrateful, and technically it is. But that's how most people feel about it~

criticism is one of the best tools you can use as an artist. But it's important to give it when the artist wants it. Unwanted criticism is often seen as...well a dick move. It's pretty much giving your opinion when they didn't ask for it which can be seen as rude in all honestly. But if an artist just reacts to all criticism badly weather they asked for it or not well they really need to grow up honestly. I;ve seen so many artists treat a critiques (even ones they asked for!!!) like a personal attack. It's a problem I've seen a lot with mid and upper tier artists, it's often people who are sensitive and unconfident about their art which is why they tend to react so negatively.
But as a rule don't give criticism to someone unless they ask for it I mean giving someone advise when they didn't ask for it can be like really annoying it's the same thing really and honestly most people see it as a pretty rude thing to do. If you really want to give your opinion ask if they will take a critique people will be more open to the idea instead of it out of the blue.
(My art btw I always accept critiques! so if you want to do that to me I'm 100% cool with it lol)
