Update about commissions and other news
7 years ago
*blows off the dust of this old journal* Wow a journal from me? How sudden lol
Ok let's get to what I came here to explain
I know a few of you all have asked me about a commission (including some that asked when I was still working on that comic I've submitted. Don't worry, I'm still going down that list).
Q. Why am I being so slow on commissions lately?
A. Here's the answer. I'm working on commissions at the public and college libraries. Plus working on yards that cut my time away from the public library if rain suddenly gets in the way during the weekends. UGH!!!! x-x;
Q. Why are you working your commissions at the library? Can't you work on them at home?
A. No, I cant work on them at home. Why? I have no electricity to even turn my laptop on x-x
As some of you may remember or forgotten. I haven't had electricity at home for 5 years since February 2013 (I have made journals about it before). BUT THAT'S GOING TO CHANGE!!!!!!
I wanted to surprise you all about it when it actually happened and the lights were officially fixed and turned on, but I guess it's best to explain now. I decided to finally locate an electrician to help with our problem. My mom and I decided to just get the wiring of our house rewired completely (we live in a small house) because that wiring is super old and we also have an outdated fusebox that needs to be replaced. Though later I decided that if we get an electrician, we don't need him to even try and gut the walls to get to the old wiring. It would be better to just get a new fusebox and place some electrical outlets in the kitchen, living room, and bedroom. We also need to lower out meter too.
Q. Did you find an electrician?
A. Yes we did. He already gave us a price of $1000 to work on things we need for the house
Also we have the money thanks to a couple of friends of mine, myself, and my mom before near the end of June
Friend 1 - $400 (donated)
Friend 2 - $200 (donated)
Myself - $200 (working on yards)
My mom - $200 (given to help)
So what's taking so long? The electrician was looking for a person that can do a cheaper permit to work on our house that goes with the asking price of $1000 he asked to work on the problem. He still haven't came around yet and we are still keeping in contact (and no we didn't pay him YET!!!). I do understand that he also has work he has to do, though it would be nice to put us on his schedule. If he doesn't fulfill this promise for this work, we may need to find another electrician, but the problem to that is that they might charge more than what he charged. I really wanted this to be done before August rolls in. No reason why before August. I just want them on. It's been 5 years and I'm sick of it now x-x;;;
I'm dead serious on getting our lights back on so I can no longer worry about not able to do commissions when the libraries are closed, especially during major holidays, plus don't have to worry about going to other places to charge my phone and such where I can stay at home and do that
Again I wanted to surprise you all with this news but it's better to give you all a heads up
Thanks for the time to read this. Hopefully my electricity will be back on and I can finally stop worrying about having overdue commissions and having people waiting so long x-x

You have all my recognition.
I hope it gets fixed soon. Best of lucks!
It's a great surprise, I'm glad things are going positively for you so far c:
I commend you for surviving through those 5 years, because I wouldn't for sure. :O
Non-the-less, happy to hear the turn around and good luck with the electricity restoration. :D
