SFM comic and PATREON announcement!

General
Well... I've done it.
Thanks to some encouragement from some friends of mine as well as some help on setting it up and getting me familiar with some of the basics, I have finally activated my patreon.
For a long while I always had patreon in mind for when I'd eventually do comics.
With my current project in the works I feel confident enough to give both a try at the same time and see how this warm up goes.
Of course, since this is my first comic that I'm going to use as a warmup for future comics, I don't expect or advise pledging to me this early until you've gotten a good taste of my comic content first.
Especially since the first couple of pages on it will be free. Only when the comic is 50% done I will start giving the patreon side of it a test-run.
I am going to take a nap when I post this, hoping to get some feedback/opinions on this move.
Remember please be straight up with me, I really want to know if you all think this is a good move or too early or if you have any advice or warnings that I should know.
I'm always nervous when it comes to making money from things I like to do... It's nice, sure... But there's a lot of things that run through my head that make me nervous about this stuff.
Greed is definitely the biggest... so please, don't be afraid to call me out if things start getting really out of hand (if not already) you know I rely on you guys to be honest and not just suck up to me.
Hopefully this will work.
For now here is a link for you to check out my patreon https://www.patreon.com/DragonV0942
And again I'd love some feedback/advice/criticism on it. The banner was quickly thrown together, but I think it came out rather nice. Simple and very straight to the point.
I will have more tears and benefits in the future, but right now I'm keeping it basic until I get more used to this.
Let me know what you all think, I look forward to reading about it. ^.=.^

I have only a few feedbacks to give!
• I'm not sure what you meant by "Only when the comic is 50% done I will start giving the patreon side of it a test-run." I would think, if anything, uploading a few extra exclusive pages (like a small buffer) early on would be best for getting folks started initially! Like, this first month, instead of giving people pages a week early, toss 5 or so finished pages up that folks can get up-front. And then let the schedule go into place the following month. This is, of course, assuming you have some pages ready or almost ready. You obviously don't need to do this, and can wait for free pages to go online before you start messing with the Patreon, but I always find it a good business venture to start early and allow some exclusive content for those who are super eager!
• I also highly recommend adding WIPs to one of the tiers! Raw screenshots, maybe back-end views of you prepping a scene, layouts if you do those. People LOVE WIPs a lot! I know I do! I love seeing the process someone puts into their work so paying extra to get that is honestly a big perk. This would also allow high tiers to see more/get a little further ahead because they'd have sneak peeks through the WIPs. WIPs also work best if you are a slower worker, because then you don't have to worry about not having content like finished pages frequently, because you can pad it with progress shots. If you're not comfortable that's okay too, though! WIPs is pretty much what makes up my entire Patreon for my comic, and it's been more successful than I anticipated, so I thought I'd suggest it! I know yours is set up per-creation, but I think you can make posts without marking them as charged? So it'd still apply!
• This is entirely for later on down the road when you get comfortable, but throw in some images on your description bit too, or include images for the tiers. It isn't necessarily something that will drive people to the page, but it'll make it look more fun and playful, as well as show people some more of your work (honestly, plastering your work all over is key to add interest!)
I wish you the best on this new venture, and will follow it to check it out (I sadly don't have the cash to spare atm to pledge but definitely want to support through following at the least!) and am looking forward to the comic :3
Thank you so very much!
And yeah, I probably should have said something else other than "50% done" as I'm not even 100% sure on exactly how many pages there will be.
But yes, I do basically mean to release a few pages up front with no strings attached. I also found out that I can submit things but not charge them. So I'm pretty glad that I can determine what is meant to be charged and what is meant to go along with it, or release for free.
Oh and yeah, I definitely also plan on doing the WIP stuff as well, I'm just not sure on what tier that should be... Maybe $3?
But first things first, I need to see if my stuff is even worth it to my followers in this particular format.
And speaking of comics, I'd like to just add that I am so happy and proud of how wonderfully you have progressed over these years with your comics.
I still remember nine years ago when I first came across The Selection series and geeked out when you included me as a cameo on page 32.
In fact I'm looking at that page right now as I write this... Such good memories.
Back on topic.
I do indeed plan on customizing it further, but when I was finishing up the first page and then moving over to check out how to set up this patreon, I wasn't aware as to how customizable it could be.
I will definitely give it more love and attention if this works.
It's quite flattering that you're considering on already supporting me, but again that's not necessary right now.
Right now this is fun just to experiment and have a go at doing a comic. Sure it's not my FIRST ever attempt, but it's definitely the first I've given this much attention to, as well as made more than one page for.
Once again thank you very much for your kind words of support and suggestions.
It's always a pleasure to hear from you, b-day buddy. (speaking of which, get ready for October) ^.=.~
At least now I can even see some of your progress. Even though I need money myself. I wish you good luck on both here and Patreon in the future, man. :)
Good Luck! ^^
