Like you could say "The feathered type from this species developed their distinctive plumage from living in the windy barren canyons, they've adapted to take advantage of the breezes for travel across long distances to find food." or something.

Just get inspired and provide details to make every adopt feel like a special combination of all possible things within the species so they feel unique instead of all flat copies or recolors of each other!

Ooh~ this is fun. I have this idea for a bunny-rat hybrid or a cat-rat hybrid. I really like the paper-thin skin ears on a rat, I’m curious about applying this quality to other ear shapes. Also rat tails in different lengths would be interesting~ <3
