Art related question

Ive been wanting to get into learning how to do my own lineart as I keep trying to force myself to make it perfect right off the bat,
but I know that I cant do that otherwise I will get frustrated and give up when it doesn't come out right and I cant get past 1 line. So
the thing I am curious about, is if its ok to use a picture you take of yourself to learn how to do lineart? Like for example, I take a pic of myself
in some fashion, then I use that picture as a base for me to learn lineart from by drawing my fursona over it.

That is ok. Trancing is a very good teaching tool. As long as you don't take other's art work, trace over it, post it and claim it's yours.
