Update October 2018

Am I the Soviet assassin bat! Hear my mighty squeak!
While I don't post much here anymore, I am active here almost daily. I do wish I could get back into the sketching and commissioning, but other stuff has taken priority unfortunately.
Had a medical experience back in March of this year that had me temporarily losing half my eye sight. The incident occurred when I qualifying with my M16 with my milttary unit. I somehow qualified, but a simple doctor visit had me end up staying in the hospital for a few days. It was caused by cranium pressure, but they don't know the cause of the pressure. Got a spinal tap and been normal since, though the fact this happened due to an unknown reason is what worries me to this day.
As for jobs, I finally got out of retail back in June. My previous boss got fired and the replacement and I did not get along. Coupled with previously mentioned health issue (which the company refused to give me medical leave for), I left. I now work as a product inspector at a local wood plant and the lack of stress has done wonders for my health, as well as a consistent schedule for once.
On the military front, I am almost at my 5 year mark with one more year to go. My enthusiasm to continue my service past this contract has been destroyed since I've transferred units to get promoted to Sergeant back in February. A leg injury I got in AIT has resurfaced and has killed my running ability. As a result of two medical issues and the toxic environment that is my new unit, I will ride out this final year (if they allow me to finish it that is) and get out. It's been a great experience and I've learned a lot to take into the civilian life; no regrets for enlisting!
On a side note, while my art spree has stopped for now, I have began a massive writing project. Hopefully this leads to some success in the future at some point.
As a whole though, I'm alive and well. Looking for people to talk to if anyone is interested, just note or ask for my skype/telegram. Hope everyone else is doing well!

Also congrats n your military service! IDK what has a higher chamber pressure the 5.45 or 5.56 but I know the 5.56 has a concussion to it. I am glad you are healthy, now. Keep it up!
The round itself didn't cause the issue as far as I know, the eye issue just so happened to occur while at the range. I did notice some issues with it prior to the qualification, though I wouldn't rule out the possibility either. I'll definitely keep it up though! Thank you
Been a hectic year, but pushing through it and keeping strong. Hope to get back to posting stuff again some point soon. Just need the time to either sketch or commission. Hope all is well with you too :)
