After Wedding, Honeymoon Updates
Welp, Mao / @ subbyshiarra and I finally got married. It was the most humbling and amazing experience of my life.
I've been married twice before, but those were just last ditch efforts to save relationships. This was very, very different. We have worked for three years to make this wedding and honeymoon happen and it went off without a hitch. Honestly, better than no hitches, it was amazing. I can't recommend Texas Renaissance Festival enough as a wedding venue. It was a basically all inclusive package though there was plenty of work for us to do, especially as we both wanted new outfits for the wedding. The ceremony was beautiful and Mao was just radiant as well. The reception was fun, and the cruise was as well.
The cruise refreshed me mentally almost completely, although it was frankly exhausting. I'm not fond of how the cruise line employees are treated by their employers nor did I very much enjoy throwing around our 1st world money in the first two ports of call (Roatan and Belize) but I felt much more comfortable in Cozumel. I'm glad because we originally wanted to go to a swinger resort instead of the cruise and some of them are in the Cozumel/Cancun area. I think that will be our next major vacation (after a trip to AC/visit family this summer).
Thank you everyone who commented on the original announcement. Your words added to a cavalcade of well wishes and a shower of joy and pampering that I have no precedent for.
My goal for the time between now and MFF is to finish my current queue of commissions, though I'm not sure how realistic that is. You know how I am, I tend to work too hard on everything. I did a warm up sketch yesterday and spent ten hours on it.
Anyway, hugs from us, hope this finds you well.
