Wow. So much for THAT I suppose.

I guess it's a good thing I've migrated most of the stories I wrote on Tumblr to here. It might not be the best environment or audience here, but the way that other site is self-destructing...
I'm going to wait it out, and keep posting there...but not gonna leave all my eggs in one basket.
I'm thinking of making an Archive Of Our Own account for my stories, but I don't know what it's like there in terms of audience and vitriol. Can anyone tell me if it's a good idea?
I'm kinda hoping that if I post there, maybe my stuff will get read more than it will here... but that's a lot to hope, right? LoL.
Tumblr was great for my writing self-confidence. Reading the tags of those who reblogged my stories always made me happy. Probably the best part of my day.

I was trying to go through my posts to see if anything got flagged, but I assume that if it did, it gets brought right up to your front page on the user side of things, so I don't think I've been hit myself. I keep a pretty clean blog, honestly.
That doesn't mean I'm not fucked over though. My Archive has been scrambled for the last three days, with about 8 months missing entirely from the Archive page unless you change the search parameters. Add to that the fact they screwed my page itself by forcibly pinning several of my old posts to the first page, ahead of newer posts, which made me freak out because I thought those were the only posts I had LEFT, since one of them was the very first story post I made, and it was put as the last post on the FRONT page of my blog...
It just saddens me that all the fantastic artists, bar a few, that I've been following and might have even been thinking of commissioning some day have outright abandoned or deliberately downturned their blog to minimal because of this annoyance. The reason they are leaving is multitude, but a lot are because they do PG-13+ art that, under the current algorithm, is instantly flagged and removed, and they just don't want to deal with trying to explain why they should be unblocked.
I've refollowed some here, and some on twitter, and a few others that have personal sites I've bookmarked...but I can't offer encouragement or compliments as well on those other pages. Definitely can't reblog and be like "Hey, check this person's art out; it's fantastic!", ya know? Plus, my name here, versus there, is different, so even if I refollowed them, it's not like I'm recognized anymore. Which sucks.
I'm just glad nothing's happened to you yet. Still sucks that you can't have your stuff there anymore, though.
What's hilarious is that, with people dropping left and right, and so not posting anymore, I've still been auto-followed by three porn bots in two days. THEY are completely unaffected in all this, ironically. And they're the cause of the problem.
I block them as I see them. They're really easy to spot, even if they try to be clever.
Which sucks, because I've enjoyed reading some of the stuff you've linked me to here. I know I don't have much of my own stuff here aside from open-ended poetry, and most of that is sad as fuck, but as little of my stuff as I have here there's still more of it here than anywhere else, even with as bad as FA's gotten. This was my first furry home on the internet, and I still have really fond memories of this place, so this is still my primary spot to post anything.
I have a Tumblr account, but I never use it, and it looks like it's a good thing I haven't since some of my poems are adult.
I would toss up more of my prompts, but they REALLY don't fit here on this site, since they are not furry or non-human related. If you read the 'where should I go' suggestions on Tumblr itself, a lot of people are like "Don't go to FA. It's only Furry. Unless you do those kinds of art and stories, don't even bother."
I know people are reading my stuff here, or at least glancing at it, but clearly no one wants to have my stuff in their favorites folder for others to see. XD Ironically, Tumblr has spread my work ten times farther than anywhere else I've posted, and now that place is a garbage fire.
It was tagged as Explicit and hidden until it was challenged, which the poster then screenshot and posted...which was tagged Explicit and hidden. XD And so on ad infinitum. Each time screenshot and reposted with the latest ban attached. I still can't stop laughing.
sad part is now, my feed has about 5 active users on it, and one 'nice' bot that just provides morale and sagely quotes from celebrities (there's no way one person can post 150 different quotes from different sources in like, an hour. I don't care how much of your life you spend online.)
The ones with adult content or mature content, even if it's artwork, have already migrated to other sites. Or are curtailing their Tumblrisms. It might make Tumblr cleaner, sure... but if the beast isn't leashed after the 17th, then simply writing about mental health, or showing things like how your transition is going, or even just having a headshot selfie might get flagged.
I'm gonna stay cuz I'm a damned noob there and I only really have stories I can't place anywhere else, as well as my GW2 screenshot garbage. I'm damned harmless. At least, until I post Miriya's Pad there, I think. Or the current story about Sonnya that I might actually split into two stories.
