So holy heck, MFF was great this year, but with so many people (attendance was 10,000~) I feel like even though I got to see a lot of people, that I missed so many others. I know part of the problem is hoping to spend "quality time" with folks, more than just sitting at a con suite table and chatting for 15 minutes, or the even more common seeing each other in passing and doing a "Hi [person]! Bye [person]!" in the halls or something. I honestly think that as much as I enjoy MFF, if it weren't the big local con, I'd probably pass on it and look for another in the area, but all we got around here is FurSquared and that still feels more like a glorified meetup weekend than a con.

Con thoughts like that aside, I had a ton of fun finally getting to suit this year. I got my suit last year but spent most of Friday and Saturday stuck in the hotel room feeling like death with the flu(?) and by the time I felt well enough to walk around the con on Sunday, I didn't want to try and suit and get germs inside it. It was fun getting to suit, as sweaty and hot as it would get. The hotel situation is still a nightmare but I don't see that changing any time soon, especially with the con growing bigger each year.

Going forward, I think I want to try and do BLFC since it's a week after my birthday, so I might be able to convince family to buy me a plane ticket as early birthday present or something. It sounds like a con that's at a fun venue on top of being one that a lot of friends go to, so I'd like to try. I guess first step in that is getting a room, so I signed up to try and get one a little bit ago.

Also I realize I only ever post journals for like... MFF memes? I use Twitter a lot more than this @Rangepup so if you're interested in keeping up follow me there I guess? I do also use Telegram and Discord but I don't really give that info out to randos. I'll try to post journals here more often I guess idk.
