I'm pissed that people conflate Texan, Appalachian and Deep-Southern accents.
Like, it's a joke about Americans doing Brit (((Particularly))) English accents fucking TERRIBLY.

The average Hollywood interpretation of any given accent above leaves me like

How close am I to the truth here?
I mean I do have Scott ancestry but that doesn't play a factor in recreating a non-native accent AFAIK.
Me personally I life in Tennessee, and the variety of the accents around my area is so wide it's ridiculous. I've lived here all my life and I don't have a real heavy accent, but I've run into people before that their accent is so damn bad I'm like "Could we have subtitles please?"
And I guess youll find it in Eastern TN. I live there now, and havent yet heard it. But then again, I havent heard it since WV. AKA a long time ago.
