A thought I've been pondering for a while...
Some of you know that my RL habits and my OC's are quite different. I keep RL and fantasy completely separate. IRL I take good care of my health. I don't exercise as much as I should, but my eating habits are really healthy. I eat lots of fruit and vegetables every day. I don't eat anything with added sugar, I try to cut back on red meat, I eat fish every weekend. I'm 5'11" and weigh around 137 lbs. My characters however are either fat, are trying to lose weight but keep fattened up, or get tricked into fattening up. No problem with having different habits between RL and fantasy, right?
Here's where the line gets blurry for me. I started seeing some of my favorite fursuiters gain weight IRL. I don't judge them but I always worry about their long-term health. BUT... when they gain weight IRL, their fursuit OC's look fatter and I'm like OMGMURRRRRR.... and I feel a little guilty about it. On one hand, I wish them to be healthy IRL, on the other hand, I'm turned on to see my favorite fursuit characters get pudgier and more huggable! If I would get to hug them in furson, I'd feel a little … weird, or even hypocrite!
Does anyone else share these conflicting feelings? I'm really curious. I can't be the only one?!

Your own health is something you have control over. That you like the weight in others is a preference and something to find pleasure in, but you cannot control the weight of others, nor can you do much other than wish them well, health-wise. There are those who are in bad health to who live much longer than those who take care of themselves - it's a bit of a lottery that way.
Feel no anxiety over your own feelings in the matter; humans a complex and what you're feeling is normal.
My only problem is when I start feeling happy to see a fursuiter gain weight just because it makes their OC fursuit look fatter and more loveable. I find this a little... evil.
I like fat and chub! I'm skinny offline though. And I worry about gainers offline, since a little bit of chub and fat is fine, but people who wanna become obese and as big as possible might have some health risks. It's none of my business though - I just imagine if I did it, I'd be concerned about my heart, body, etc. I think it's good not to be overly concerned with someone else's body, that's like, never a good or appreciated thing. X3 Whenever people nag their boyfriends about their weight it seems like a red flag. And I think the assumption that fat is unhealthy is assuming a lot. It's really bothersome hearing people talk down about fat stuff under the guise of health. It's usually just people being judgmental. But as for feeling guilty - don't! Not that you can help it, but it's good to enjoy what you can, don't let their personal stuff worry you. That's for them! They'd be like that no matter how ya feel.
