Alright I Get The Message
Apparently my audience has spoken and they want exclusively female pictures. The picture I spent 12 hours on for Christmas with Blake got a total of comments two in 5 days while the female Nose Fucking picture I whipped up in 12 minutes got a total of 20 in 24 hours. It's crazy how audiences sway like that lol. But now I know not to waste my time with male art, or at least put it low as hell on the priority list.
Unless any of you have any instructive criticism as to why that particular picture was a turn off for people and maybe it's not just male art in general.

FA+

I hope that makes sense.
I don't mind if there's something about my male art people don't like, I just want to know what it is that's all so I can stop doing whatever it is.
I can't speak exactly to why your audience would respond more to one thing over another, but you're definitely not the first artist I see running into this frustration. There's any number of factors beyond the sex of the subjects that could have impacted it. Sorry your hard work wasn't validated the way you like. :(
Yeah, thanks. I mean it's not like Im asking for paragraph long feedback even just a simple "man that's hot a shit" would be fine. Just when it gets nothing at all it makes me think people don't like it or something..
As for your own work and me, other than being away for a few weeks until just this past Wednesday, I've been bad about commenting in general lately. I don't always have anything to say on pinups when I can't really cling to some additional weird kink or idea. But I do really appreciate the lore work you dabbled in!
I'm not trying to force your feedback I just wanted to honestly know if I did something wrong.
I know some people are able to be independent of their comments but I'm not and never have.. comments are my ultimate reward for drawing what I draw, its the feedback that gives me joy in what I'm doing. Hearing that maybe it's caused someone to see that cars are actually kinda sexy, or hearing that it got them off, or maybe even a spontaneous RP forming about the picture.. it's all great.
Now I'm not attacking you with this question I just want you to be honest. If you like my male art, and you weren't too busy to comment here, then why didn't you comment on the picture? Please, I just want to know what I'm doing wrong. : (
Don't let the amount of comments or favs you get dictate what you draw more or less of.
Also, think of those who like your male drawings
Also, look at the content of the comments. Four of the 20 comments on the female pic are actually constructive. The others are either you replying, or people roleplaying in the comments. The male pic has two constructive comments and no roleplaying.
Your "Reindeer Games" pic has earned more favorites and views than the other, as well.
It doesn't matter to me if the feedback is constructive or not, just that something is said at all. I enjoy hearing what people think, or participating in those random RPs that spring up, or discussing the lore, or hearing that people are seeing my stuff for the first time and never thought they'd see a car as sexy till now.. that makes me feel good.
It's favorites that don't do crap for me.
i mean even your profile pic entices those that are drawn to breasts
also as for the quick sketch i think that the popularity of it is more due to the weirdness of it and possibly the story behind it
weird things are popular here
"weird things are popular here" - I can't argue with that..
2. You're not going to score a home run with every upload.
3. Car fucking is niche. Expect low turnouts.
4. You've got a lot more male fans because most of your art involving females involves demeaning stereotypes. Like the ditzy car or the slutty nympho daughter of a religious man. These are all cliche's used by some to paint women in a disrespectful light. Your art has a large focus on male power fantasy. Guys dig it. Women, not so much.
It doesn't make your art bad. Just understand that's why it has such a skewed audience.
TBH you really need to focus on doing what you want and saying fuck it to pleasing others.
It can be demoralizing. Frustrating, depressing and make you want to quit but you've got these characters and stories inside you and they need to be told. You've got this passion that needs expressing. When you get years down the road and look back do you want to regret not giving them a chance at giving these characters a chance at life or do you want to be able to say, "I may not have gotten a ton of attention but at least I did something. At least I can look back and share a smile with all these awesome characters I've created and relive the stories I told with them."
I could be totally wrong here of course. Maybe my advice is bad. You're more than welcome to tell me to ease off and I'll respect that. In fact I apologize if I come off as lecturing you. I don't mean to do that at all. I just hate seeing someone who seems like a decent person and does amazing work get so frustrated to the point of feeling they need to stop creating.
As someone who only recently discovered that I'm into cars (thanks to your art), I think I know the reason male cars often don't get as much attention. Those who are into females immediately have an easy way to love their car (tailpipe), whereas those of us who are more into receiving penetration don't always make the connection that it's even possible to love a car intimately. So, I think it makes sense that a lot of people who know they're into cars are into the female ones. If that makes sense.
I do really hope you're not discouraged from drawing male cars, I love seeing that art from you!
and that poor drawing still only has two people who've ever said anything on it..
