There was a big back-lash a while back when IMVU bought the website. A good number of people fractured off to tumblr, weasyl, then twitter. People kinda filtered back here but not as many. Eventually TUMBLR performed it's great cleansing, and a lot of artists went straight to twitter. Weasyl's been abandoned by a lotta folk, but I get updates from artists I watch over there quite a bit. Elsewise - there's been a lotta fallout and disenfranchisement on FA from what I've seen - with artists just picking up their baggage and moving away from it.

That's too bad. There was a lot of talented people here. I don't have the times and will to keep up with all the behind the sense here. Art is just a hobby and I don't need to share it with anyone. It was just nice that there was this community here to share it with. Some of the best friends I hade I made here

We've actually had a few come back, with the death of Tumblr, and they always say this place is dead, heh heh.

There are still new people coming on board, but I miss some who have left.

I keep forgettin DA and FA exist haha. I'm mostly one Twitter and Reddit myself. Not as many artist use Reddit though and it's more other people posting their art (and if you're lucky they will also post source). But yeah, being on Twitter, I have seen a lot of artists moving there after the fall of Tumblr (I never perticularly used Tumblr myself, but I did have RSS feeds set up from various artists).

A lot of people have moved to Discord as well, though I'm not too fond of it lmao.

yeah twitter seems to be the best so far. Its nice that its a spectrum of interests and not just a dead end of furry smut like it is here. That's what DA was like back in the day, just a nice spectrum. Artstation is too fancy for my crap I doodle lol and I thought discord was just a messanging app? Lots of really cool artists I followed are gone, I could have followed them but love and hate them for the leaving for the politics, I just wanted the art, and rss feed set ups to follow them was asking too much for me. Good and bad thing about twitter that way, I don't want to hear everyones thoughts LOL even my own should be kept to myself

rss feeds were great, but I became lazy and wouldn't click over to view on the site and therefore stopped commenting and faving haha. There is https://tweetdeck.twitter.com/ which doesn't do the bs where it shows you what twiter wants you to see. You can create lists for whatever you want, like say a list containing a bunch of artist and what not. And in tweetdeck you can have it filter out everything which doesn't have media in it, so you are less likely to hear their thoughts haha. The only problem is it is only available on the web browser, I've yet to try it on a phone browser so don't know how well it will work. There are apps which can do similar things, but I think most if not all charge for them.

Discord is primarily a messaging app, but anyone can create a server, and create different channels in them and some people will create channels for posting art. But having several servers all with multiple channels is too chaotic for my liking LOL. I think I've stopped with art sites is because of laziness. One the aforementioned RSS feeds, and two social media just makes it scroll across your timeline so you get content without having to do any work lmao. Especially if you set up those lists properly with what you want to see.

Oh yes and something to note, if you create a public list it will alert them when you add them to it and anyone accessing your page can see them, but if you create a private list it won't and just you will have access to it.
