My parents used to do the same thing to me actually. They had locks everywhere because they thought I would snoop in all their stuff while they were away. I found out years after I moved out that the reason they locked everything up from me was because they were hiding their pot.

Anyways, this never stopped me from finding ways around locks. I became a really good lock pick due to all of that, and my tinkering around.

I suggest if you want to build trust with your parents to respect the locks. However, if your parents are just dicks, i encourage you to learn lock picking, and how to break-in/enter a room without disturbing anything.
