I just went on a long Twitter rant about this video I watched under the #MarvelFansUnited thing. It's a couple of guys going on about how everyone should go see this movie to support women and all kinds of misguided, even if with good intent, agenda shit. Then it just came spilling out of me. Have a read, if you want. Or don't. It's whatever.

I agree with your spill. We are more invested in the older avengers and introducing new hero's just to satisfy the equality agenda just makes the franchise less enjoyable. And if the killing blow needed to be a woman hero, wouldn't it be kick ass if black widow just snapped his neck in the last moment? Thad be cool.

OP
Again, because we're more invested in the characters we've been with over several years, anyone from those movies would be more acceptable than Captain Marvel. Now, I don't believe the writers/directors of this movie made Captain Marvel the female variant just for equality and I hope I'm right about that. I just hope they don't give into the whiny minority looking for anything to complain about.

Agreed, this new trend of "I'm entitled because im offended or a minority" is just ruining entertainment and causing more conflicts.
