Hmmh haven't seen anything like that. Are you sure it works? All questions about anonymous paypal have been replied with "its not possible to open anonymous bank account and same goes for PayPal"

Well I didnt double check but theres an option to change the username under a nickname on the settings also have been using paypal for years and never had any issue.

I'm not 100% sure but I think it still shows the real name and the nickname is only used for donation links or something. I'll look into it though.

I don't see any option to set a nickname for my personal account. If you mean paypal.me that is something separate, it will still reveal your name and email.
You need a business account for people to see the company name instead of the name of the person.

Yeah but I've understood that PayPal shows real names with the email. So alternative email doesn't help much. Heh well I already did judy hopps model few times but the results were shit. (Sadly the stuff is still in my gallery or scraps.) Then when I was starting to overhaul it for the third time I found out someone had made much better and more accurate model of her and I scrapped that project. Eventually I used the rig for my rat girl model.

I have a few high quality models of judy for Blender with no genitalia but fully rigged with hd texture in case you want to mess around with it.

I think I have that one too but I only use my own models for animations.

I'm not sure how they have it setup, but FA has been previously hacked and all notes leaked. I wouldn't trust FA with personal info. It's one reason why I just have a secondary email associated to my paypal so when artists need to send invoices I can give that over notes vs my actual one.

Also depending on the setup FA may be able to see and record a lot of info such as your address, emails, payer ID (it doesn't change even with different emails) and more.

Edit: Additionally if they do collect that info, then I have no faith in it being secured against abuse by moderators or admins. Overall I just don't trust volunteers to not violate the privacy policy or privacy laws.

Yeah I know about FA's security issues in the past. (and likely in the future too) But apparently paypal does all the important stuff so FA only knows the email address used for the paypal account. And I do have secondary paypal email of course but it still shows my name there and that's the issue. I think it's visible in invoices too.

I don't trust ANY financial system put in place by FA. EVER. I'd rather just donate directly via PayPal or Square, or even Patreon or Ko-Fi.

Apparently FA system is just a link like any other PayPal donate button and all important stuff is handled on PayPal's site. But yeah I too have some doubts about the system.

My thoughts:

FA is typically a furry porn site.
PayPal has an ongoing crusade against porn.


IMO, it would be unwise to use FA -> Shinies -> PayPal if you value your PayPal account or the funds contained therein.

If PP can trace the origin of the payment to FA, they'll simply lock and ban your account, then keep any funds within it for violating their TOS.

Admins etc claim that paypal has agreed on this and because the shinies aren't techinally payments for porn (they are donations) it's fine by Paypal and they have contact person there and have been using it for their advertisements for long time. But I suppose it's good to wait and see how it goes. And there's still the paypal name issue so I don't think I'll be activating shinies anytime soon.

I would pass on the "Shinies" thing, stick with Ko-Fi or anything neutral or porn friendly.

Cause trusting a sight like this that has not taken anything seriously about security or transparency is a fools errand. Sounds more like a honey pot to me.

Yeah that is of course a possibility. I guess we'll see eventually. Not going to activate it anyway due to those & other issues though.
