"Pride Month" is stupid.
It is great you are gay...
I really don't care!
A lot of other people really don't give a shit.
Including other gay people that fought for gay rights without shoving our dicks in people's faces and without dancing down the street waving our dicks and kinky fetish gear at children.
I see no reason for shoving my sexual desires and fetishes in random people's faces out in the real world... It is NOT the best way to earn acceptance by society at large.
The crazier people get, the more likely we will be shooting ourselves in the foot later on. It's great you are gay, straight, bi, attack helicopter, whatever, just don't go around shoving it in people's faces.
It is nice to be open minded, but not so open minded that your brains fall out.
So what is with Chinese Anti-Gay Communist government backed companies and big money megacorporations pandering for the "gay rainbow dollar"?
Apparently they think gay people are stupid or forgot some of us actually know about the fake ass bullshit they are pandering.
China imprisons, brainwashes, or outright KILLS gays, minorities, and dissidents in concentration camps... (re-education centers)... Companies that get their products made there by underaged sweat shops workers don't get to pull the "We totally care" bullshit.

Why is it that gay pride is a-ok but straight pride isn't?

At least in mainland China. Places that recently came out of British rule and are "secondary china" Hong Kong, and Shanghai usually have slightly different rules because of how much more visible those places are on the world stage.

So, as long as it exists, I guess I'll take Pride Month for what it's worth--I mean, that's practically what the whole furry fandom's about, right? X3 If nothing else, I like to point out that the LGBTQIAd Infinitum community does not actually speak for all of us. Honestly, though, I think they should just reduce it to "Pride Day" instead of usurping all of June (is it just coincidence that it happens to be the same month as Father's Day, by the way?), but somehow I don't see that happening any time soon.
And as far as Google and FB are concerned, I just stay as far away from them as possible. It's enough that those hypocritical, kowtowing pricks try and track my every move: they sure as heck don't need my patronage as well.
I mean I love the online aspect of the fandom and the kinky shit there, but shoving it in the average person's face is no way to gain acceptance and be seen as "normal".
