Giving myself more positive reinforcement

One bit of advice I got for dealing with depression is to think of tasks to perform when I'm feeling sad. Even something as mundane as showering, checking e-mail, etc. is a task I accomplish, which sends positive messages to my brain. My initial reaction to depression when I'm home alone is to lay in bed. Of course, that makes things worse because my mind alternates between "you should be up being busy" and "this bed feels nice."
I'm glad Winter is finally over in Colorado Springs. At least half of the trees in my neighborhood were either broken or weighed down by snow on May 21. Colorado Springs got around 5-7 inches of snow, while a few places further north got 15-20 inches.
The snow partially contributed to my getting a flat tire. There were a few snow drifts on one road, and one of the drifts hid a large chunk of concrete that I struck with the back right tire. The mechanic accidentally broke one of the lug nut studs when installing the spare tire, then the lug nut itself came off somewhere along I-25. I bought a new lug nut and stud at Oh-oh-oh-O'Reillyyyyyy Auto Parts (Ow!)

Yeah, sometimes dragging myself out of bed and going to work is tough, but usually, when I get rolling, I'm always working for the weekend....to use a trope. *pet*pet* -Ric
