i agree, a discord server is a great way to directly talk to those who share common interests (but just be careful since u dont want some underaged brat screeching like a hawk)

There are already pretty neat discord communities out there. I suggest taking a look around ;)

A good place I can recommend would be Leto's 'WOOF' Discord, I've had some really nice conversations on there before, even though I myself am no longer that active. (https://discord.gg/bdWSEJ6)

Discord is good, and there are a lot of furry groups on Telegram messenger too. I've met most of my current furry friends on Telegram.

VRChat and Discord are your best bets. Discord you can do while doing other stuff. VRChat is just a social game like second life but more casual and easier to get into in my opinion.

Discord is 100% an easy place for you to start building a community of like-minded people of those you described, or look around for another server to join. Artists, furries, and gamers alike all use it for whatever you want to use it for.

It's easy to create designated text channels, voice channels, and set up user permissions. Plus, the userface is super easy to look at, learn, and understand in minutes.

VRchat is nice, but discord gives you a little more control imo.

Well, you can always connect to artists you like and attend their streams to probably find people you're familiar with or you could run your own streams with Discord while you draw.

Since a lot of people have mentioned it, I will say that I think Discord is a pretty standard choice at this point. Personally, I’m in a couple of interest-based ones (Transformation), and a few artists’ discords....and I find the specific artist ones much better to talk in, because generally speaking they’re not 50 billion people piled in. It feels more...personal? Like it’s not just a giant crowd all talking over one another.

There's a number of different Discord groups geared towards furries, though the quality of each one varies. Could always make your own, though, and advertise it here. Lots of people also have Patreon Discord servers as well.

I been set up my own Discord to interacting with peoples as have most commons things as they can enjoying to talk about. Game/animes/other stuff.

Sansar which is similar to VRChat is very cool, the community is small but more mature then VRChat, where you mostly have screaming Fornite kids in. Its not a furry community but there are quite a few furries in there.

Highly recommend, as has been stated multiple times above, Discord. While it's not a primarily-visual medium, it does, however, have excellent voice chat.

unfortunately, there are a ton of furry discord servers but most are filled with lurkers or people who don't do voice chat. I've been roaming the discord world for awhile now. I found if i really wanted a nice voice chat session and such for games, etc, I had to go to a normal server tht happens to have furries in it

Well, I used Telegram briefly and, for about two weeks, I honestly enjoyed myself cos I was very dadly and people were old souls like myself... But then I realized people were actively avoiding me (the chat literally would start up the moment I left and die the second I arrived) and my anxiety pushed me to destroy my account entirely. I think it was when I quoted "How To Be A Bastard" with the joke about freaking out a suicide hotline worker, it got heated but it cooled off and I thought I was good cos everyone knew I wasn't being a prick.... But I was wrong. Anyway, Telegram or Discord seems to be common. Just be careful, people still get fond of dick pic slinging. And telegram requires a mobile number, gets to be a pain if you use it on several platforms.

All I can say is, I know how you feel. I'm completely out the loop cos I avoid being social at all costs. It always ends the same way for me, so I'm completely outdated. So best of luck to you, Gami. I hope you find a decent place you can chat in.

I tried it once to be a char on the FBA. However, it was impossible to use, never notified me of new messages, never updated the message columns, clogged up my PC start up, as it would start the moment my PC did, it was the worst thing I ever put on that PC and may have contributed to the ultimate destruction of the HD!

I would suggest Discord. It is pretty solidly built and reliable I find. It can also let you know what games your friends are playing and vice versa assuming you don't turn that feature off.

Chasing after popular fads will only leave you feeling slightly empty, like you sold your ideas to gain some momentary tweet backs.

Im just a nobody but I can speak from experience that following trends is an endless chasing of the wind. And like a Dank Meme compilation, it does not age the best.
