I Still Live

I've had the heart monitor on now for 9 days; I get it off next Tuesday. Last weekend I almost felt like normal again (Fri - Tue) and didn't have anything other than twinges of anxiety here and there. Wednesday I felt my face go flush again, but I muscled through. Thursday I was okay. Yesterday I had another bout of tachycardia that kept me from getting to sleep. It lasted about as long as my first one and has subsided now. Today I just feel exhausted, but am otherwise okay.
My next doctor's visit is two days before Anthrocon. Both my first visit with the cardiologist and with a therapist are that day (one in the morning the other in the evening). I'm still planning to go to Anthrocon, but depending on how I feel my schedule might be more abbreviated than normal. I'm going to play it by ear for that and for fursuiting. I'll give it a try and see what happens.
This sucks but I'm getting through it day by day and sometimes hour by hour.

EDIT: On Thursday evening, I did an hour long Karate class with my daughter in honor of Father's Day. I signed up for it before all this started. It was good and worked me hard, but man it probably wasn't the best idea! Still, Angie and I had a lot of fun with it.

You'll be ship shape in Bristol fashion for Anthrocon at least :)
Here's hoping! Yesterday was pretty good; today was not so good until I started helping my wife with some gardening this evening; the exercise and productive work really improved my mood and helped quell some of my symptoms. Which makes me wonder how much of them are really triggered by anxiety.

Hang in there for your daughter, okay?
And you know I will!

After my near-fatal overdose on methamphetamines, my already messed up heart was even more damaged. Though I should have "Taken it easy" I did the opposite, pushing myself, riding a bicycle long distances, hiking for miles in the hills with a 100LB pack on, and just exercise in general. Today I can say that all that stuff has helped me more than anything, I would say, don't sit back if you can, don't go crazy, either, but today I know my heart is stronger because I pushed it, some times, almost to the point where i literally felt like I was going to die (And pushed past that fear, too!)
