Welp, its kind of obvious. FA refuses to evolve, to adapt. It stays in the past with old tech and crappy basic code but the primary reason; Tag usage blacklists and whitelists.
FN has this system of tags, which FA kinda has to a sucky degree, they don't exactly do much really. Nor give people an intensive to use them. Or allow people to add tags the author forgot. If you add tags to your blacklist, you can't accidentally see shit. I mean, literally. I added "shit" "scat" "fart", and like 20 other tags to my blacklist including "YCH" to my FN blacklist. Now I can't accidentally see a dragon eating a huge pile of liquid shit when I search for something. Go ahead, search "ghidorah" and see all the fart crap there is.
The whitelist, allows you to whitelist a blacklisted item. In this case where I mentioned I have "YCH" in my blacklist, a whitelist would let me do "completed" as a whitelist among other things, so I can filter out ongoing YCH crap which, I will never do because its a lack of creativity that costs the same as a normal commission used to. But allows me to see the finished results of a YCH.
Whats FA got?
Nothing. Not even a working thumbnail protective system. People complain about not being able to do custom thumbnails all the time so I see Scat happen often when I do NOT want to see it, tiny thumbnail or not you can't just ignore that disgusting shit.
Would the staff here consider upgrading the site after seeing these points I bring up? Nah. Too much work. Too busy making useless possibly dangerous features like Shinies, and Badges, and other things to make the popular people more money. The rich get richer, and all that. Who gives a fuck about us watchers and such.

What we need is an event, catastrophic to artists that makes them all leave. The reason we had other sites pop up was because FA was hacked because of its crummy ridiculous security. I don't think thats likely to happen again. Its also why I don't use FA notes and delete everything because I don't trust FA to be secure anymore. Frankly I think it'd be funny if it happened again because it'd spark another "I'M LEAVING FA FOREVER" fad. But you then realize everyone just comes back. Like Tojo who posted a journal about leaving FA forever only to come back like a month or two later and deleted the journal pretending it never happened.
But eh, we all know that FA is never going anywhere and never going to advance either.

Seems now FN actually just removes them from your feed list entirely if they are blocked, it used to show a white square like that image with the blocked tags in it so you knew what was blocked.
I never really got into this topic publicly though, I don't really understand why they don't even consider such small updates a valid option(as the site itself would really need a reboot from scratch tbh). It would make everything so much better! I've even seen professional and amateur web developers offering their help to improve the site but nope, they got the fuck off card...
The site is now under ownership of IMVU so Dragoneer now has to do what they want and thats why we get the new "You're not allowed to be mean to anyone at all" rule on the site preventing you from saying anything offensive purposefully or accidentally. God forbid someone accidentally calls a trans woman "dude". That'd be horrible. Gotta ban them out of existence immediately!
I mean, I was happy, when Dragoneer took some of my input when designing the site a while back and changing things, he responded and shown that he was interested in my input but that seems like it was a one time thing so I've gone back to being annoyed with him and the site.
