As for the lost commission money, did you pay via Paypal? I think you should be able to claim a chargeback if you paid for ''services and goods''!

Aw thanks Kippy! Yeah plenty of night shifts so will have to get used to it but it's a paw on the ladder at least. I did pay through PayPal but they insisted on friends and family to avoid charges - and stupidly I agreed... So no chance of getting my money back

Awww that sucks! Sounds like it was deliberate from them from the start.. I guess all you can do is post an artist beware about it if you want, although I'm not trying to advocate for drama, but if the evidence is clear they sure don't deserve more business from people. u_u

Yeah definitely. Well I'm not sure whether they're actually fake, probably ought to rephrase that. I commissioned them months ago for my first ever artworks, and never heard anything more since I paid for them (quite a substantial amount). I sent numerous notes and got no response, although they keep putting out new YCH's so obviously have been online. I've received art I've commissioned since then from other artists, so perhaps I ought to just give them the benefit of doubt for a bit longer.

Fake or not, getting nothing but radio silence like that is poor work morals and lack of professionalism :C You totally deserve an update at this point. I understand if it takes a few months to finish something when it's clearly stated in ToS or the info is provided by the artist but you're being ignored. If it bothers you, can always try to contact one last time via notes saying that you might have to take further actions if you don't start hearing from them soon.

My take may sound a little harsh but I don't tolerate it well when I see poor treatment from artists towards their customers. It hurts everyone of us in the long run!

I'm with you on that. I've tried contacting her again but the recent site outage did nothing to help things...
