Starting a new job tomorrow
So quick update, tomorrow I'll be going in on the first day of my new job, hopefully I'll do okay.
Still, I'm really really grateful for everyone who subbed my Patreon and got my commissions. It's been my dream job of doing commissions and paint as a freelance illustrator while sitting at home and I get to experience that for a whole 3-4 months. It's a feeling that I felt grateful for. It's the dream I've been longing for since high school and I experienced it for a short duration. It is really meaningful to me and you guys helped me realized it, even for a moment. It's not realistic, I knew it well, but it happened.
Although, I've come to a realization that I have mortgage and rent to pay at the same time, since I ran away from home and I'm finding a place to have my name in a document so I could truly call home, so that means I'm doubling expenses from the amount that people I know are facing.
Still, I'm really thankful that I don't have to face some stuff on the previous job and could just focus on painting and creating content for you guys for some period of time before I find a new job. I've found it, and it's thanks to you guys that I could.
So hey, thank you! It's still my dream to just painting as my full time job, and I'll still work towards it. Right now I have to face reality as is, but I'll continue to work on it until I achieve that stage.
To be honest there were a month that I grew really stressful with the amount of money I got. It's enough to live but not paying the accumulated debt, but somehow things work out as it goes, but I would admit that I could not handle that kind of stress fully just yet.
So, hoping for the better! Starting new job tomorrow is giving me butterflies in my stomach. Hope I'd do fine there.
Oh, if you're a commissioner, I have a trello board here! You can track the progress here: https://trello.com/b/qpqLiZ4T/commission-queue
