I just saw some comments about some fursuit going for higher than normal prices. What I found interesting was that the prices that they where talking about was quite low compared to what I have heard of in the past. The most that I have heard of someone paying for a fursuit was $24,000 and I believe that was in the very late 2000s. The reason for the high cost was for the syfi armor that was worn over the fursuit.i The most I have heard being quoted for a fursuit for sale was for an Anubis and the asking price was $100,000 and I believe that was in 2006. To my knowlage there where no takers. After the convention it was debut at I had never seen that fursuit ever again. The reason given for the high price was that the builder was a special affects artist in Hollywood and that was what he could get from a movie studio for such a costume.
